  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Pay attention or pay the price.

Very powerful. Safety campaigns have been far too mealy-mouthed in the past. Too many people need a punch-in-the-guts advert like this to bring home just how devastating their actions can be.

This should be required viewing for anyone taking driving lessons.

The first few are Irish adverts as are the last few

There's the one in the middle about fatigue that's not ours afaik.

So weird to see them there like that after seeing them on TV so often.

I've seen that fatigue one on tv here in australia....never seen any of the others though.....was quite stunned, we dont have anything that graphic on our tv's!

Those kinds of commercials are what people need to wake the fuck up.
These kind of campaigns show the exact same kind of stuff that their target audience are willing to pay money to watch in a horror movie for entertainment. The ads are like watching a movie trailer for the next Final Destination sequel.

Those kinds of commercials are what people need to wake the fuck up. People have become so complacent in their driving habits they forget just how god damn deadly they are. This reminds them. And it does so very well.

What's absolutely 'tasteless' is anyone getting behind the wheel drunk. yet we hear everyday someone getting ran over or killed in a head on collision because some pitiful excuse for a human being was driving under the influence.

Yes, exactly.

But. When someone who has lost someone in an accident (like me, twice) or been in one themselves, is watching TV, and those commercials come on, they have to relive that trauma or pain.
I guess thats just collateral damage in the battle to keep the roads safe.

Wow... talk about some powerful messages! I agree with ya'll... we need commercials like that here in the U.S. - it might wake people up a bit.

Life can change in the blink of an eye - and I think when people get behind the wheel of an automobile, they tend to forget that. For some reason, people are develop a strong sense of imortality. They have a false sense of security about driving, be it in bad weather/hazardous road conditions, not paying attention, or after they've tossed down a few drinks. Yes, I think everyone should see these...

Two Words: Hell Yes.

The comercials are serious and true for people who can't see how much dangerous a car actually is.

Honestly, you should be ashamed for not supporting. They are tasteless, but they are reality.
