Bill O'Reilly takes it on - well I think

why should he/me/you pay for contraception for a female law student?

why should we?

oh and I LOVE that President Obama called the woman

jesus christ

it's about "woman's health" not their decisions

Bill O is spot on and he does it much better than Bull in a China shop Rush

gonna pay for my condoms???

the other side is using viagra as an example of hypocrisy but really viagra is for a physical ailment not a decision

I disagree. We should pay for all forms of contraception and encourage their use. Half the reason (at least) that we have so many worthless idiots running around is because their parents were not prepared nor desiring to raise a child and the shitty results are proof.

^ sounds like social engineering to me

and where does that end?

sex is an activity, a decision, a personal one

and what other sections of JUB have you been lurking ? ;)

Haven't really been lurking anywhere... I entertained myself in F&G for a bit but here is the same old same old with no real discussions anymore... so just take a look, shake my head and move on.

I am all for social engineering. We might as well start the process before energy and resources force a shrinking population. There is nothing wrong with paying for contraception.

We as a society moved the age of family and sex from the age of puberty as it was designed to be to the age of consent. But the human organism didn't get the memo. So we have unwanted pregnancy and babies that are then raised in a less than ideal environment and perpetuate the problem. Celibacy does not cut it. That is the idealistic imagination of the religious that thinks it will work. We have generations of proof that it does not work. SO if your offense doesnt work then ya need a good defense.

i hear you - and in some ways i agree with you

but to hear the woman - who is in Georgetown Law School talk about it like it's her right as a woman ............ well it's nauseating

if someone said:

we're doing this because:
we know people have sex
sex has consequences - disease, pregnancy
we've done an analysis on the COSTS and this is what it is

well i'd say i still don't wanna pay but i get it

instead it's a women's right thing

which is HORSESHIT

F&G is fun - you like my artwork??

Yes quite a bit... although the artwork has died down quite a bit since Bendy has been out of commission.

I think I am most entertained by lefty and Bendy over there but most of the guys are pretty mellow and it is nice.

I agree the presentation is repulsive but the idea is gold.

And not just medical need. The complete raising of these children end up in the public venue. From food to housing to schools that the parents dont pay tax to for their kids to attend because they dont earn enough.

^^ such a lucid adult response - why do you post here? ;)

ok ok

stop showing off ;)

i think you and loki should be guest on bill o next week

wonder if he'd suspect ur two marys ;)

I doubt anyone suspects my proclivity for dick until they know me for a bit and notice the lack of women in my life.

In fact after 21 years of service I am pretty sure Bill O would be lapping my bag. Until I started to disagree with him then he would Dan Cho me...and when he eventually found out I was gay he would use it as a billy club to say I was a liar or deceptive. I simply don't think my sexuality is germane to most conversations. It makes no difference who i love or how.

^ tell me how you really feel ;)

are you laying down on the couch right now?

i think ur take on how Bill would react sounds dead on btw :)

It is cynical to the extreme to call subsidizing of birth control "paying women to have sex". First of all, birth control pills have a huge number of uses that have nothing to do with sex, and are used to treat a lot of stuff women suffer from. Second, even if it were just for sex, the concept that it's better to have an unwanted pregnancy and therefore another individual that society has to take care of, rather than cover women's birth control pills, is ludicrous.

Oh, and PS, everybody has sex. It's normal, and healthy. Women however are threatened by a lifelong result of one bad night. I say it's worth to pay tax money to help prevent ruining lives, yes? Isn't that what tax is for?

bring it on further then. Why should anyone pay for AIDS treatment, for gays, drug addicts, or whores who need $20,000 worth of drugs, often a lot more for the rest of their lives?? Because they had sex or used illegal drugs.
Tax payers, employers, or religious institutions where Homosexuality is against their values.
Why should I as a employer have to cover treatments in my hospital plan that morally I don't accept like smoking or alcohol long term illness.
Pious, self righteous authoritarian types crack me up until it bites them in the ass at some sad point in their life.
O`Reilly likes to talk big but no one really knows how much he paid out to shut some of those woman up. All's we know is he likes the Luffa sponge on their privates

Why should viagra be paid for?

hormonal contraception is cheap. an ounce of prevention: unwanted children are as social burden. the pill is a whole lot less traumatic and fraught with controversy than abortion.

also if insurance cos will pay for viagra (which most do and it's not cheap), why not the pill? You could argue that men taking viagra shouldn''t be having sex as ED = stale old sperm.

also the pill reduces a woman's risk of usually lethal ovarian cancer by >50%. that alone is an indication.

you sound like these yahoos who are think the guardasil hpv vaccine is going to make women sluts. suspect i've encountered one of those misogynist gays i've heard tell of. no tuna for you, eh?

Many health plans do pay for birth control pill. If it is a Doctor prescribed controlled FDA approved drug. Why would you think they don't?
A lot of health plans with drug will also cover prescription smoking cessation such as Chantix, but again it varies by plan the employer or private person purchases.
And things are about to change for the price of Viagra as the patent goes down this month and watch generics flood the market. Pfizer saw this coming of course and has been hush on what it will do with the price other than doing what they and all drug manufactures do rapidly increase the price the past couple of yrs knowing the legal genrics are coming to wreck their honey pot.

Well said.

Why should viagra be paid for?

Viagra is treatment for a malady - a potential cure for you know

Contraception is not

As Bill O'Reilly referenced in the clip

Watch it - it's the basis for the thread
