Paying for Sex

It is cynical to the extreme to call subsidizing of birth control "paying women to have sex". First of all, birth control pills have a huge number of uses that have nothing to do with sex, and are used to treat a lot of stuff women suffer from. Second, even if it were just for sex, the concept that it's better to have an unwanted pregnancy and therefore another individual that society has to take care of, rather than cover women's birth control pills, is ludicrous.

Since all women will receive free birth control will the spread of STD's rise?

Since they may no longer fear getting pregnant will that also lead to more women fooling around on their mates?

I do think it's discriminatory to not supply men with condoms.

No, you don't think that. You are just being a smartass.

And all women who can afford to/have basic knowledge of personal care already use birth control pills. I have difficulty believing those same women go about spreading STDs. Might just be me being gay and all, but I think most people nowadays are more scared of getting something rather than getting pregnant...

I dont argue with you on most points here Rolyo BUT the incidence of STD and HIV transmission among the younger generation is rising. HIV/AIDS scared many people into condoms because it was a death sentence. Now that it is not the incidence is on the rise after trending downward for many years.

No just clearing up an inaccuracy. The STD rate is up regardless of birth control.

As far as Birth Control pills I have already said I support the idea. I dont need to say much more.

Female contraception IS used to treat several conditions actually, so you are just incorrect here.

well when it's used to treat a condition then that's a whole other matter than isn't it - as it would be prescribed to treat that specific malady

and that would be another situation - similar to the viagra prescription

It is a preventative... like taking pills to prevent malaria. Now of course we shouldn't promote people going to dangerous places where they can get malaria so the obvious solution is to let them get malaria and die.

Republican Logic.

^ i liked u better when you were lying on the couch telling me about your str8ness ;)

me going to the gym prevents bone degeneration - so i don't have to replace my hip when i'm 60 which would cost a lot of money ......

and the cardio i do at the gym keeps my heart healthy

where does it end?

so everyone should pay for my gym??

Yup they should pay for you to go to the gym. Or at least encourage it by buying facilities.

I like the way Maryland does it. Every town has a community center that has pools and gym equipment and a track and they help pay out of taxes for the facilities. People using it still have a small fee but it is much less for much more than a gym cost.

Oh and speaking of the gym I just came from there.... so much eye candy... I love the midwest

^ me too handsome

make sure u talk to some of them ok ? ;)

some nonsense about which muscle part that exercise works, etc.

and NYC tail is as good as it gets

just saying

I was there and did that... i like the innocent farmer boys.

Oh and I talk a plenty... I am pretty good at talking younger studs out of their clothes for some reason... I could easily be mix between Marty Kahn from House of Lies and Brian Kinney from QAF...

^ well that's not a surprise

just don't bore them with your new found progressive ideology

might QUEER (as folk) the deal

Am I the only one who is annoyed that they frame it as paying WOMEN to have sex, when most contraception women use are only useful when they have sex with men? So the 1000 $ figure should be 500 $ per man and woman. But this is typical. The woman is a slut for wanting to have sex, while it is expected of the man to have sex, there is nothing wrong with it he is just proving his manliness.

And I doubt that people stop having sex just because they don't get the contraception paid for by their insurance. The upper and middle class will buy their contraception themselves, while those who cannot afford it will still have sex. So there will be even more single-parent poor kids. This is just dumb.

Hmmm I heard one commentator noting that condoms are cheaper AND prevent STDs. He estimated she could have sex 3 times a day all year long with condoms for the same price she quoted for her birth control pills. If its all about saving money....

The Catholic Church has always regarded sex outside the marriage as sinful, and does not approve birth control and the lady must have known that when she chose Georgetown. But this law requires Catholic institutions to facilitate and, in effect, become a party to it. Worse, the University can only pay for it by raising tuitions. So kids struggling with high college costs will have to pay more so that she can have free sex.
All this on the pretense that the Federal Government is regulating interstate commerce.

The one point she erroneously makes is that just because she has a right to own body and use contraceptives does not mean she has a right to force someone else to buy them for her. You have a right to free speech, no owes you a printing press.

Yeah.

And like 98% of viagra is 'necessary' to treat a clinical problem other than not being able to pop a boner in order to fuck. Hardly a critical medical condition.

What it comes down to is the hypocrisy that it is okay to pay the costs for guys to fuck, but not the costs to avoid the consequences of unwanted pregnancy.

And Billo is one of the worst hypocrites of all the old white boys club.
