innocentbychoice said:So i work out, but haven't got the results I want on my chest, so lately I've been considering pectoral implants. I read online that they're meant to make your pecs look bigger but they won't give you more definition so you should keep working out. That's not a problem for me; my question is do you know anyone who has gone through this procedure? How do they look? Are they satisfied?
Pec implants work best on two problems- asymmetry and funnel chest (pectus excavatum aka PE).
There are some guys who have a imperfection in the musculature on one side of their chest. As such, the two pecs will never be the same size. An implant can give the illusion of symmetry.
For guys who have narrow chests or a condition where the breastbone is curved inward (PE), the implants can add the illusion of depth to the chest.
There are guys who get them for purely cosmetic reasons with mixed results. There was a thread about 2 years ago where a member was having to have a implant replaced because he damaged it while exercising.
