Peeing in the shower

It kills me that people are all afraid of some sterile urine.....but meanwhile, in a gym shower or even their own, people are reefing out or scrubbing off any foecal remains from their assholes...I'd be more worried about having someone with serious anal leakage and a case of worms showering just beside me in the gym than I would from any salty rain.

Probably where someone's staph infection came from...but probably in aerosolized form from the water droplets or the steam.

Have you seriously seen someone prying out a little turd? I'm thinking I'd upgrade to a better gym...

My lover got a horrible staff infection in the locker room at our gym and had to be hospitalized...and our gym is really clean....or at least it looks like it. I do wear flip flops but I think about what kind of fungus there is all around. I have a mild to moderate fear of germs.

Urine from a healthy male is sterile. It's been filtered through your kidneys. It does not contain any "biologicals", only minerals (like salt) and some chemicals (like ureic acid). It can kill some fungi, and other "biologicals". ..|

Of course I pee in the shower! (!w!)

I would not think that any infection came from guys peeing in the shower, How was it verified that the staff infection originated in the gym locker room. Was it verified by the health officials. How would one know a staff infection was picked up in a gym locker room anyway unless verified independently? I am just more curious by your comment more than anything. It would not surprise me that guys can pick up infections in the gym, but I would say it would come more from some of the sexual activities I see going on at gyms, such as in steam rooms, saunas, and jacuzzi's, or even the shower stalls. Just my random thought on the subject.

But I would agree that wearing flip flops is better than running around the locker room in barefeet.

Most common infections in public showers come from your feet.

The infections don't come FROM your feet, butt rather from the bacteria growing/living on the floor. Pee can actually help kill some of that! ..|

No, I dont. Will not. Will never.

No peeing in my shower please.

This reminds me of a Dear Prudence letter. A man wrote to Prudy saying that his wife has been getting on him about this. They showered together one time and he decided to pee down the drain right next to her. She freaked out and told him that it was disgusting and randomly barges in when he is showering, just to make sure that he isn't pissing in it . Prudence told him to tell his wife that the urine was sterile.

I dont care if its sterile or not I think that its gross.

Usually I do everything together when I shower, brush teeth, wash face, pee, poop etc. Saves time and resources.

I often find it interesting what most of us have been taught, through what we hear from others, as what is considered "gross", what has that "Ewwww!" factor. :help:

And, even when we learn the Truth, contrary to those impressions, it takes quite a bit to break away from them since we've been "programmed" so well. #-o

Yes, pee is sterile, and can even be beneficial.

Then there's also the myth about foot odor. There's actually no such thing, since your feet do not have musk glands, even though they do sweat. That 'stench' comes from the bacteria which thrives in the warm, dark, damp environment of our shoes, and socks. It's NOT your feets' fault! The same would happen with your hands if you wore gloves all day.

Keep smilin'!! (*8*)
Chaz

Piss is only sterile fresh out of the spigot.

It doesn’t sterilize what it lands on, and it becomes rancid and produces ammonia in no time.

Soap scum is almost always present in anyone’s shower/tub and will absorb urine just the same as a shower curtain will.

Go ahead and pee in the shower, but if you don’t clean the tub often, you are taking a shower in a urinal.

At least toss a urinal cake in there when you are having company over. ;)

wata folk drink was piss ans shit

Well..there is no way to be 100% certain but we are fairly certain it came from when he was sitting in the jacuzzi which was in the middle of the locker room. He had a little cut on his elbow...it went into his elbow and arm, Both the jacuzzi and steam room had the funky film around it sometimes.

We heard other people complaining as well and the gym actually cemented over the jacuzzi so I have been wondering why they did it.

Oh yeah...I don't care if pee is sterile or not...I don't want to step in anyone else's pee in a public shower but I do always wear flip flops so that is not gonna happen. i am not so sure pee is always sterile either... I had urinary tract infections and also had blood come out when I was passing a horribly painful and difficult kidney stone once....I would not want to pee in a public shower and expect someone else to stand in it and get exposed to my germs.

^appreciated the further insight. I think we have covered this one enough :)

suggest that if there are sometimes ever droughts-water shortages the 5 gallon flush is an unnecessary strange technological development , not to mention the considerable cost of waste removal and common ecological problems of treatment .

My toilet is a 1 gallon flush. I have seen the no flush urinals but urine has a tendancy to crust up the pipes when there isnt at least minimal flushing.

If I were you I would assume that gym showers get a lot of pee flowing down the drain.

On the subject of peeing in the shower? I refuse to do it in my own shower but if it is someone else's house typically I let it rip all over their stuff. It is a natural for me to mark my belongings and I want the other guest to the house to know they are my friends first and foremost.

... lmao. Now I picture your friends giving you treats when you come over to visit. Do you need to be walked? :)

RB I will take you up on that someday.

Buz - I do need a nice walking but mostly I do my little turn upon the catwalk. Here is Jack doing it up for me:

For a treat I like chips and Casa accompanied by Dos Equis w/lime wedge.

When I first read your post, Jayhawk, I had a mental image of Jack Springer on a catwalk. /Facepalm.

I shave my face in the shower and that's about it. My roommate tried to blame my "hairs" for clogging the drain but lo and behold, the hairs in the drain were long.
