Slight backstory. Growing up I wore tight underwear a lot, which ended up giving me frenulum breve and slight phimosis. Now I have a bend to my penis, it doesn't hurt or anything, but I can't pull my foreskin back with it going back to bunch at my head. Nothing hurts or anything, I just find it annoying.

Anyway, when I first heard about frenulum breve I did research and ended up learning about penis straighteners. I didn't bother with it but now, I'm actually interested. Mainly because just like braces, it's so much easier to do when you're younger.

However, the ones I looked at cost like, $200 bucks. I'm okay with spending that, as long as it works. The thing is, when flaccid I'm only about four and a half inches, how exactly would a penis straightener fix a curve when flaccid. There is no way I could stay hard 24/7.

I've looked at reviews and all that shit, but I haven't found anything on how it works when flaccid. The only way is to buy it, and like I said, I don't want to spend that much unless I know what I'm getting. Plus, there are so many I don't even know which one to get.

Anyone used a penis straightener or heard about them?

If you have phimosis, even just a little bit, than have it done. Phimosis means your foreskin is not wide enough for the rest of your penis, so go to a doctor and say you want your foreskin to be made wider. It's a very simple procedure (it took a few minutes in my case, though of course I was under anasthesia) and it heals quickly.

If you live in the USA, chances are your doctor will try to sell you a circumcision, because it earns them more money. Don't accept it though, because it compromises your own wellbeing, obviously.

No, my case isn NOT that bad, I can roll it back without any pain, it's just slightly tight. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word phimosis haha. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I think you might have some misconceptions here. I don't think your underwear type will affect the way your penis grows at all. Nor that it caused the phimosis.

Really? I had always thought since I wore tight underwear, whenever I got an erection it would press against it, causing my penis to eventually get a curve because it never had any room.

Frenulum breve just means that you have a tight flap of skin that attaches your foreskin to the shaft of the penis. In moderate cases, it causes pain when trying to pull back the foreskin. In severe cases, the foreskin can't be retracted. Often if the foreskin is pulled back the head (and only the head) will be pulled downward.

That is a different problem from curvature of the penis. No penis is straight- every penis has a slight curvature when erect. It's time to see a physician if the curvature reaches the point where it interferes with sexual activity or causes pain.

Any device that has not been prescribed by a physician is a bad idea. There's not a device that will reverse curvature. It's something that generally requires a urologist to evaluate and determine the appropriate treatment.

I have a tight foreskin, can pull it back when soft, but not when hard, I remember when in twenties the doctor mentioned a circumcision as the only option, but as it was not causing me any issue, I was no interested and he advised against it.

No one's ever complained in bed, but a lot of guys I've talked to about this subject say they don't really like it when the dick bends down because it doesn't look completely erect and hurts in certain positions. That kind of messed with my head. Not to the point where I'm legitimately distressed but it still kind of bothers me. Would a urologist have a solution for something that is simply aesthetic, I wonder?

A downward curving penis is not uncommon- there are a lot of guys who do bend downward when they are erect. It's a variation but it is common enough to be considered within the range of "normal".

The surgical procedures to correct curvature is a major surgery and it does have some risk, so there is criteria that a surgeon would use to screen patients as to whether surgery is warranted. Typically, they would ask if you have pain when you get an erection, can you bend your penis enough to achieve penetration when erect and does the curvature interfere with intercourse?

It's kind of crazy that doctors in America are so quick to mutilate penises just for money. There are a bunch of cases where there's no need for that. Yours seems to be one of them.

The forum has a policy that we don't get into discussions about the politics of circumcision (there's plenty of those in HT that are usually active at any given time). Gay men have enough body issues without being told that their penis is deformed or mutilated. Everyone is entitled to an aesthetic preference in what they like, but that all penises- circumcised or uncircumcised are pretty awesome when you have the opportunity to some quality time with one.

There's also a lot of misinformation promoted about physicians and circumcision in the US. Every circumcision that is done in the US has to have a medical justification and requires informed consent. It's also a considered a minor procedure, so the surgeon's fee is low- for an adult male, it would be in the $500-800 and it requires a diagnosis and preauthorization that is medically necessary, otherwise the insurance company will not pay for it.

By comparison, the doctors fee for an appendectomy ranges from $2,000-$5,000.

I see! I'm sorry for using such a word. I love circumcised dicks just as much as I like the factory version! In fact, one of the best fucks I've ever had was with an American exchange student who had a beautiful cut dick. I guess my word usage was more aimed to affect doctors who suggest it unnecessarily.

There are guys who are turned on by guys who have a downward curve. It's different, some guys like it because when erect it looks like it's a big non-erect penis and there are some guys that claim that the curve puts more pressure on the prostate.

The uniqueness of different guys' bodies and the unique likes/dislikes of different guys is what makes it all so interesting and fun.
