I remember watching that whole episode on tv. That guy was a straight up ass from the beginning. He was a bigoted asswipe who appeared to have a Dildo up his ass at the thought of his case being heard by a woman judge. And it came through in his attitude. When being told that his incorrect assumption was... incorrect, he kept trying to talk over the judge. She finally told him he was dead wrong (his own pre trial brief proved him wrong), he responded with a snooty, "That's your opinion!" You do NOT (whether you disagree with the judge or not) behave likes such a childish bitch in the courtroom. If I were the judge in that courtroom, he would have found himself over my knee getting a much deserved and long overdue spanking like a red headed stepchild for his behavior.
