People old enough to remember life pre-Internet, what are some less obvious things you miss about that time?

No social media, Ordering out of catalogues, Christmas Catalogues, phone calls, Christmas cards, post cards, recording something on the VCR and fast forwarding over commercials muting them isn't the same thing.

I think I miss catalogs arriving in the mail the most. And since there was no internet I looked for the International Male catalog to show up. I ordered stuff from them just make sure I kept getting the catalog.

I LOVE International Male. All I would wear is International Male. I should have taken a photo of the guy on the Undergear catalog. There are 64 issues of I.M, Undergear, and some Prevail Sport.

Totally agree. Undergear was total jack-off material.
 
This went out way before the internet, but I miss the free road maps you used to get at gas stations. They went out with the energy crisis of 1973-74. Now you have to pay $4.95 apiece for them, and usually not at gas stations.
 
Wow I can't believe you kept those International Male catalogs. Also, at the time they were the only who shot their models with the shape of packages in clear view. Everyone else padded the underwear so you couldn't see anything.

In the UK we used to get free road maps with the Sunday papers up until about 10 years ago

People made appointments or set dates more easily and stuck to them. Right now people need to text you 20 times and, still, they cancel last minute :mad:
