Its sad that people do that, when I see an animal dying because of abandonment it makes me want to kick the owner's ass who abandoned them on the streets.

You see here's the problem i have, i have "abandoned" a few cats before, but you have to remember i found them on the street to begin with.
I had one cat in particular that i found and she didn't seem to be missing out on any meals.
But after the third screen window she fucked up, she had to go back into her natural habitat. I have no doubt in my mind she doing a hell of a lot better than she did when i had her.
So far every cat I've had has been real ghetto, they were very independent.
But the question i have for you is, why didn't you go out of your way and take the cat into your home and raise it ?
... bread ...

I work at a Pet Store, and that's where the Cat was found around. I can't take any Cats in although I'd love to.
I don't doubt that you do take good care of the animals you sell.
My point is that a lot of the pet trade does, by its nature, involves cruelty. Not necessarily deliberate, malicious crulety, but cruelty all the same.
Keeping birds, mice, hamsters etc in cages is cruel.
Its a bit like an arms dealer complaining that his customers are shooting people. (only a bit)
