Do you meet anyone often but never say Hi ?
Either at work or at the gym ... etc.

Discuss.

I say hello to everybody that I see more than once a week. And ask them how they are doing usually as well..

People at the gym rarely say hi though I do. It's annoying...I know they are concentrating on their workout but between sets they could say something.

A bunch of people at work. Our work doesn't interact, so I don't bother with chit-chat with them. If they say hello to me, I'll say hello back. But most of the time, I just acknowledge them with the infamous "chin point" or something. Many of them I'm not even sure of their names...

^I know what you mean Lex ...at my work the only time people talk to each other is to complain or for official purposes. Otherwise it's like a morgue with keyboard sounds and the odd printer whir ....

Well, it's not like that where I am, actually. I chat with a couple people who work right nearby often enough, and I've gotten to know a few more who I chat with. I've met several of them at functions outside of work, too. But the others are simply not in my immediate range that often, and neither I nor they has felt the need to attempt to build a relationship. And I think we're all fine with that right now. :)

There are 2 people at the gym that makes me feel awkward.

The first one when we first met, i always said hi and tried to have a chit chat, but his response was sort of very little and sort of silence.
After awhile a stopped saying hi but still walk pass each other and in the same sauna sometimes. chatted with everyone in the sauna but not him. Feels like he had a grudge for no reason LOL

The 2nd one was weird.
He stared at most of the men in the gym and keep quiet to himself. He use the treadmill to walk but very slow like a turtle and did not sweat. Saw him many times. He never sweat in the gym because of his turtle pace.

I'm a mess. I say hello to everbody who looks me in the eye. I guess that is because when I'm out and about or at work I look at people in the face as we pass each other. If I catch their eye I say hello. Most of the time they return the salutation, probably 98% of the time. When they are hot and give me a big smile it makes this old guy all warm and fuzzy. It comes easy for me. Sometimes I have to say hello to over 500 people in one day.

If I know who you are and haven't said a word to you.... there's a reason.

Well he may have some physical limitation where he can't exert himself so much but yeah that's unusual though I think I have seen a few like that. For me I gotta get a good sweat going and even shut off the ceiling fans if they are too cool on me. As a added not NO ONE ever talks in the saunas (wet or dry). Now, the wet one makes a lot of noise with the steam vent thing but the dry is quiet enough. Maybe people are too chicken to talk to other nude guys? This behaviour baffles me

I usually speak and try to spark a conversation with most people if they seem approachable. On the other side of things, there are those that once you speak to them they act as though you've just called them out which makes things even more awkward.

No i don't have physical limitations.
It is a normal gym sauna for men only so people can have a chit chat while in there.
