I have empathy for these sort of things, however he (himself) brought up the 3 agencies he would close. Such as I might forget my best friends name and often do if someone ask "Hey whats your friends name you always hang out with"?

He's gotta get the Republican nomination first, though, unfortunately. And that is going to be more difficult than actually beating Obama in a General Election, in my opinion, due to the uncompromising GOP voter base who demand a "real Conservative" to get their nomination.

And that is going to be a very difficult road block to climb. If my memory serves me correctly, all the polling in 2008 had Romney as the Front Runner then, as well. But he only won Primaries in 3 states ...

He simply is not Conservative enough for the Republican base. That and as Jayhawk admitted, he has a major image problem in terms of coming of "phony" and "saying anything to get elected".
 
I'm putting this in the Perry thread because this would have been one of Pedry's babies. In relation to the rock, this Confederate flag on the license plates would admit that Texans are bigoted.

AUSTIN -- An 8-0 vote by the Texas DMV board ended months of tense controversy over proposed specialty license plates. The vote was quick and the reaction emotional.

On the steps of the John H. Reagan state office building, opponents of the Confederate battle flag sang "God Bless America." The cause of celebration was a vote by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Board to deny a request to display the Confederate battle flag on specialty license plates.

Although, I'd hardly characterize that grin as "disarming".

He also go the date of election day wrong. He told the crowd "when you vote on Nov. 12." Election day is Nov. 6.
 
This is basically turning into a "wait and see" campaign. No one wants to bow out too soon with all the gaffes and past that keeps on giving in hopes they can get a leg up but in the meantime they can keep raking in the dough and walk away with some serious money and ways to make more money afterwards.
