Alright, so I have no idea how to go about organizing a meet, but I was wondering if people would be interested in a Philly area meet. It would ideally be in the city, CC to be exact, but people from all over the area would be welcome. Even you Jersey guys, I guess. :p I think it would be neet to find fellow JUBbers in the area to talk to about stuff.

So.... who's up for it? And who could help with the organization?
 
I'm down in the Philly area a lot, (Montg. Co) so I'd be up for doing something on a weekend.
 
Yup... I get lost when I go into the city (i know, i know...) so NH is usually where I end up.... sure miss the cartwheel, but rumour has it a new club will be opening soon....
 
Depending on when and where I think it could be fun. The only thing is unless someone wants to volunteer to set everything up I doubt it will happen.

I'm glad to see this had some positive things since I posted it... unfortunately I went inactive due to being busy shortly after so I was never able to follow up on it.

Anyway, if people are still interested, perhaps we could try to work something out for in a month or two. It doesn't have to be a huge thing, we could just plan to meet somewhere and hang out for a bit. We could talk and get to know each other, maybe go home with a few new friends.

As for the circle jerk idea, that probably wouldn't work for our actual meet up... either because of the location or because we wouldn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable... but if people wanted to plan something like that for after then good for you. The meet would be more to introduce each other and share stories, become friends, not just to get our rocks off.

So if people are still interested, post here and we'll try to work something out. Things are more stable right now than they were last year so I'll actually be around to keep tabs on it. Someone mentioned a Phillies game - maybe we could set up to get tickets in the same section and do some tailgating beforehand?
 
this thread is over a year old... I cant believe it is this hard to get "gays" from philly to get together. Its really almost comical, Philly has one of the largest "gay districts" in the whole country. Any given Wednesday night you will find 1000's of underage college students going to woody's for underage night. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are also ridiculous to the point that you cant even walk around one of the bars in the gayborhood. This is just shocking to see that it is this tough to get people together for a good time.

Lets make something work here, lets stop procrastinating and do this. Lets set a date and stick to it!

Anybody who questions whether a Philadelphia-area JUB meet can be a lot of fun, just look at the ST. LOUIS after-party thread! A Phila. meet can easily be at least as big as the ST. LOUIS one was.

People had so much fun in SL that they were still partying in the thread for a full week after the meet ended!
