We got this rather powdery snow yesterday afternoon. Later on in the evening, it snowed a lot more. This morning, the tracks I made shovelling the snow from the front door, and the path I made have been recovered. I think I'll just give up and wait for it to be at least a foot deep before I shovel...

GRRR..how do I convert meters into feet or centimeters into inches? The one thing I hate about US Revolution was they didnt carry over the measuring system..WTF was up with that? Can anyone research that? Is that the weirdest thing??

this is incredible. it snowed.
in a city.
best news item ever.

i expect ongoing coverage about every single other city where it will snow for the rest of the winter.

When was the last time London had significant snow?

Kinda similar I guess to Las Vegas or downtown Tucson getting snow then.

ha! what's that, the politically correct term for Peter Pan syndrome? (for you Puer Aeternus  )

Only those who aspire to know the symptoms of the Peter Pan Syndrome are entitled to wax so lyrically on this topic. I confess to my ignorance on such a syndrome.

(cop out, time) :D

Tucson got snow on the ground 2 years ago- about 2-3 inches in most part of the city.

Yeah I happened to be visiting a friend there in Jan. 1990 and it was a wet snow of like 3 inches. It was gone by mid-morning. He had a place near U of A - downtown.

Apparantly half of Londons fucked because on an inch of snow. Pathetic. No buses at all-and no trains. For 12 1/2 million people. We used to get 3 foot of snow in the 1970s and all the bloody buses and trains ran then.............
