Pins & Needles in hands.

It's been happening frequently during the past few months, and it's a very weird sensation that I don't like one bit. It's not like a few pins either, my entirety of both hands feel like someone is clamping my hands between them. I've been taking note of what happens to me when this happens most, and the only thing I can really link to it is getting erections. Anyone able to shed any light on this?

Well I was going to say possible Carpal Tunnel, but you thru in erections and there goes that idea.

Seriously though if it's a problem, go see a Doc. There are some very well educated Nurses on this forum and maybe even a Doc or two also (I don't know), but diagnosis really can't be made online.

It could be a Nerve damage issue. Have you had any recent injuries or trauma? Not just in your hands or arms, but anywhere in your body?

Carpal Tunnel involves the tendons of flexor muscles of the fingers, and the numbness and weakness, comes from squeezing of the median nerve through the carpal bones of the wrist. I don't know how to explain the onset of symptoms during an erection.

Anybody online can say things but can you verify our credentials? I know I have some credentials, and I'm saying to get a real deal look from someone who can tell you something.

Do the tingling sensations occur just from getting an erection or do they occur while you are masturbating?

This is caused by poor blood circulation. Much like when someone's foot "falls asleep". Now, what is causing the poor circulation, that is the big question. Reduced circulation is a symptom of many diseases, including diabetes. A blood clot can cause it also. If it was an isolated occurrence that didn't last more than a day or two, I wouldn't worry. Having hands or feet "fall asleep" occasionally is no big deal. But if this becomes increasingly reoccurring, then that does warrant some concern.
