... if you are from a non-english speaking country (UK, US, South Africa, Australia, you get the point)

Say from what country you´re from

Thanks :-)

But I'm being serious! They speak Amish where I live. It does not even vaguely resemble English -- more like 17th century Swiss German. Very bizarre sounding!

NO WAY!!

The Amish flock from RL...

Oh wait...

Ah yes, the wonderful Pennsylvania Dutch. Which has very little to do with Dutch. I can understand most of it, but only if the speech is slow and clear.

I cant even speak Irish myself
Despite years of education in it.

And here is me, wanting to learn a little bit of Irish with BBC's Blas.

I am Dutch, by the way. Thus: born in the Netherlands. :)

South Africa or .za, as it's called on the internet.

We do speak a lot of English here; we have 11 official languages (I speak English and Afrikaans fluently only of the 11), and English is probably the most commonly heard of them all since it's the one language almost everyone can get by in.

I am from America and I went to get a cheeseburger and the nice girl taking my order had no idea what I was saying. so do we count as a non-english speaking person? that and the fact I met a dude from Holland the other day who spoke better English then I did, so maybe we all should switch 2 a different language here.
