Why isn't Ayers in a federal prison?

Charges were dropped because the Feds made stupid mistakes.

That speaks to the ineptitude of the Feds involved, not the innocence of Ayers.

Why isn't Ayers in a federal prison? Why is he teaching at a public university, and getting paid by the U.S. government? I guess all those kids sitting in his class are paling around with a terrorist, too.

And what do you see your anti-Obama blather for?

The fact that Obama was eight when Ayers was doing, what Obama has unequivocally condemned, is a far better indicator of the truth of the situation than anything you and the anti-Obama choir have to offer.

And yet, the United States government is paying him for his services. He's not wearing some scarlet letter on his head, and parents are paying for their kids to sit in his class. Obama lives in his neighborhood. So? They've crossed paths. And? They've worked on education boards together. Big deal.
I doubt Obama will be consulting with Ayers on how to get the economy back on its feet.

I would not willingly work with or be friends with anybody who was part of that kind of abhorrent activity and hadn't at least renounced it, and I don't want a President who would either.

The people we choose to have in our lives says something about who we are, and they influence us.

The man can say whatever the hell he wants to say. He can hold onto any opinion he wants. He is considered "rehabilitated". As long he doesn't go out and start bombing shit he is off the terrorist watch list. And mind you, he sits on an education board set up by conservative Republicans who, no doubt, knew about his past. The Anenberg family has close ties to John McCain, too.

Perhaps you should head to Canada, then, because you live in a country that sees no problem paying a former domestic terrorist money for his services at a public university. You pay taxes to a government that created monsters like Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. You support a candidate who pushed for deregulation and decreased oversight, and, had he and Bush not been stopped, would have privatized Americans' social security into funds twisted and tied into Wall Street; a candidate who played a role in the loss of 4.3 billion dollars of American taxpayer investments back in the 80's.

So, go ahead. Walk the walk; hit the tracks for the great white North.
