Please stop comparing Obama to JFK!

Gothic, you are very enciteful

Take a look at what we had for the last seven years and the state of the world. We need change. I don't know if Obama or Clinton are the answer. I can't even say I'd cast my vote for either right now. However, on the Republican side, I find John McCain is the closest candidate for whom I would ever vote. I'm not crazy about Romney's religious beliefs as they differ from mine and Guiliani is working on wife number three. In my book, that shows zero morals and I would never vote for someone with none or who has had three wives.

If the man gets the nod I will vote for him. I may not like it but I will. lol

And great point these are two very ground breaking campaigns. And seeing as a woman and a black man are the front runners really does say something about what our country wants. :D

I think given John and Bobby both died young it isn't a good idea to compare Obama to either of them because you know some biggot will kill him.

There's a lot of "buzz" around Obama, but people say one thing then vote another...the people that say they want him (younger people and blacks) are also the same people that don't show up to vote on election day.

I also don't like that Oprah endorses him. She has too much influence among 'sheepish' people that just do as she suggests. People like her should be nonpolitical. And I really didnt like the 'top 10' joke about Vice President Oprah...it wasn't funny

Elections shouldn't be about attaining some milestone of gender or race it should be who's the most qualified to lead.

Obama is young and inexperienced it's BS to think that there won't be SOMEONE giving him advice or pulling his strings. We already have a puppet president we need someone that can make their own decisions.

The United States is in such shit economically, politically, internationally we can't afford someone that needs a learning curve we need someone that can start DAY 1.

Obama would make a good president just not right now. Maybe in 4 or 8 years but not now.

The next president needs to
-fix the economy
-sort out the vague 'war on terrorism'
-re-establish relationships with countries
-re-establish our Rights!!!!!
-free some of the people in Guantanomo (if castro dies the US loses all claims to lands in Cuba)

It is always interesting to hear the Christian perspective. Do you do marriage counseling? Perhaps you are a Leviticus fan and advocate stoning? It would certainly seem that character assassination has become a prime christian virtue. Let's all hope that Senator Obama has never succumbed to the temptations of the flesh and is the model of virtue that I'm sure you are.

In my religion, if people lose their sense of humor, they are allowed to retire from the active community and spend their days worshiping in the Temple of the Ancient Hag.

You act like he is some kid right out of school or something. I dont want him in 4 to 8 years. It may be too late by then, we need him now!!!

By contrast, Obama has been worshipped by the press, so far. I don't know if he's going to win the nomination, but I believe that, if he does, the press will crucify him.

They may very well do so but the intent of my comment was if you have a certain personality, if you treat people a certain way, well, they generally treat ya back just the same.

I see it every day with the inevitable interactions of alpha males in the military. Those who can use a bit of timing and consideration go much farther than the screamers.

On that note, I have worked with a older civil servant who worked over John McCain's plane when the man was enlisted. He said McCain was exacting but came off as a asshole. Now there are few sleazy easy slacker jobs in the military so everyone I have ever known is comfortable with a asshole because you know exactly were you stand. It was the smiling, hand on your back, buddy-buddy types that stuck it to ya. Because the job wasnt gettin easier so ya know the screw is comin.

In any event, I see Hillary Clinton as that smiling type who will cut you for a penny. The more Bill demonstrates that sharper edge then the more people starting believing as I do about the Clinton's actual intents.

Thats how I feel. Like I've said, I watch him and try to get excited but I just can't. I have no idea why. In the words of Mazdaboi, "Have you ever just simply not liked someone?"

No, Gothic, I'm not the sarcastic kind. I enjoyed discussing this subject with you. We both made good points. Edwards and Guilani have bowed out so this should get interesting to see if that 18% he averaged will go to Clinton or Obama. We need to keep our communication open as this should get real interesting next week, my friend.

Sarcasm or honesty, after posting on here so much I can't tell the difference anymore lol

You make great points as well! :D

I can only presume that is where you are posting from.
