Pocket Pussy Masturbation Tool

Not many teenagers needed to be taught about masturbation, they learned themselves pretty quickly. All they needed to know could be contained in a single sentence, such as; It's perfectly normal, perfectly healthy, there are no side effects, everybody does it but not everybody tells the truth about it.

Don't forget, though, that a lot of boys/men had their natural masterbation sleeve cut off at birth.

I didn't, I'm intact, and the world of lubricants is nearly a complete mystery to me. As are these synthetic/prosthetic foreskins. LOL

If not for the Internet, I'd be completely in the dark in regards to most of this stuff. All that spitting in particular. LOL

Not many male teenagers needed to be taught about masturbation.

There are all too many women who get taught next to nothing about their bodies as they go through adolescence.

They were the ones that Joycelyn Elders had in mind when she suggested that masturbation be taught.

I won't deny that there was a real problem with women getting taught next to nothing about their bodies. (Although it felt like female reproductive system parts were the only thing we talked about in 9th grade sex ed. "You'll need to know this someday!" the teacher proclaimed. Pesumambly, when we were married and preparing to have 2.5 kids. Someday, though, never arrived in the case of the gay boy who grew up to be the me203 that you all know.) And I suppose Elders had a variety of views. But from what I can remember--and what I can see with fast research--it was a comment at an AIDS conference that caused that final controversy that resulted in forced out of the Surgeon General office. From what I can see, it was about "safe sex", not to target women not knowing there bodies very well.

I was perhaps an anomaly in that I could have used some information. I had some bad practices in my approach.

And I definitely could have have used a reassurance that "masturbation is normal."

Masterbation is a very private activity, especially for teens who have been taught that it's unhealthy and/or sinful.

I really don't know why anyone would presume to know what does or doesn't need to be taught. It's not likely an honest survey could be taken, and none of us should be traveling around peeking in bedroom windows.:)

As I recall, the point was that masturbation is the safest sex there is, and if girls were taught that it was okay and how to do it, they would be less likely to satisfy their budding urges by putting out for a guy and ending up with an STD or a fetus.

The female sex drive is far more complex than that. More psychological.

Babydolls and vibrators won't satisfy their drive/need to procreate, nest, and hold on to a provider.

There are a lot more sales of toys for women than toys for men. Women have many needs which a vibrator cannot satisfy but there is one need that it can satisfy in vast abundance. No man can hope to compete with the number of orgasms that her little buzzing friend can hammer out. Vibrators sell by the million, even in conservative countries where it's an under the counter trade. What was that American state that made a fool of itself by trying to ban them? And why?

Good point.

But, you guys were talking about teens. The mating/baby making years, and how to avoid teen pregnancy.

Didn't Arizona have a law limiting dildo ownership to two per person? Maybe apocryphal.

But you could buy as many guns as you wanted because guns don't kill people, dildos do.

More connected than you might realize.

Soldiers.

Governments/religions have always pushed their populations to out number and out weapon their rivals--- keep the weapons ready and make lots of babies/soldiers.

As I think I said, I don't remember Elders that well.

That aside, yes, masturbation is the safest sex, and can avoid STD and pregnancy. But this (obviously) applies to boys, too. If anything, it applies more--from what I've heard, it seems more likely that boys will be pushing for sex. So if they are happy masturbating, there might be less STDs and pregnancies.

I was a teenager not too many years before Elders was Surgeon General. Masturbation wasn't even mentioned in sex ed--not even the time when sex ed was nothing but a STD unit that was nothing but the scary disease risk of sex--let alone any comment that masturbation was normal. And I sure heard nothing positive elsewhere. So, while I masturbated, I did it with a feeling of shame. I wonder how many of my classmates were in the same position. And how many of htem might have pushed for sex earlier than they might have otherwise, because they felt masturbation was for losers?

True, but the presumption, likely correct, was that most boys manage to figure out how to masturbate without help, while many girls do not figure it out because they are not taught enough about their bodies.

Not long-term, no, but this is just to get them through high school (and the drive to snag a provider and nest won't be quite so strong that young). After high school, it's their own problem.

And for the record men, this was NEVER meant to become such a hotbed of political & personal thoughts - just a goofy thread to lighten the day. Gotta love the internet.
