Anyway! The games come out Q1 2007. I've heard March(ish). Who's excited?

The dude on the cover for Diamond, Dialga has power over space. And the dude on the cover of Pearl, Palkia, controls Time. Dialga looks cooler, and has a cooler name. But Time>Space. So fuck Dialga.

I think it's basically like every other Pokemon game, only like 3000 times better. You'll be able to battle and trade online via Nintendo Wi-Fi. And it'll have online voice chat, so you'll be able to curse at the person who just obliterated all six of your Pokemon. Great stuff.

The graphics looks better. Sleeker. 3D-ier.

The night and day thing is back (Did it ever leave? When was it first introduced. Was it Silver & Gold? I don't remember. Was it later taken out or something?). You get five different stages. Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Late Night.

There's a bunch of other stuff not really worth mentioning. Anyway! Who's looking forward to it?

Very cool, I don't know about the time of the day thing. I only got up to Saphire, I know there were 2 games after, I believe FireRed and LeafGreen that were mostly remakes of the original Pokemon games so I never played them. They may have removed it for those 2.
 
I will be picking the penguin. I am wicked excited for this game.
 
Pochama, he's adorable and I think he looks cool not ugly. Also I always go with the water type 1st.
 
Yes, they're all cute when they start (Except for Naetle). But once they evolve, the only ok looking one is Goukazaru. I guess Emperte looks kinda cool too.

Yeah Naetle is kinda ugly but yeah I think the penguin's evolved forms look cool not ugly. And I belive the article says it comes out in March.

Seems like this is true for a lot of Pokemon. I died a little when I saw Teddiursa evolve. :cry:


On a side note, Pearl and Diamond will let you trade your pokemon from GBA games in the DS (on a limited basis, and they cannot be traded back to the GBA). This rocks for me, since I have FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald, but no GBA.

Nintendo is also making a Pokemon game for the Wii that will hook up to the DS.

I always thought I had grown out of pokemon, but recently, I've found myself drawn to play it again. You know, collecting stuff and treating it with my RPG expertise that I lacked as a kid when I originally played it.
 
I love playing Pokemon, no matter how old I get I always find it to be a good relief for stress. I like the turtle starter by the way...
 
POkemon Crystal was the first Pokemon game to introduce the day and night thing. loved that game but i like the new ones as well hope to get to get it when it comes out cant wait

I was majorly miffed they took out the actual effects of light in Ruby & Sapphire, [I own Emerald - though, no improvement], and the time itself was screwed up.
To evolve Umbreon & Espeon - the times didn't add up: ie: "Night was considered from 12AM to 12pm, and vice-versa, which makes no sense, considering when the sun goes up...

Though, my dream of owning a Water-flying has once again, gone down the proverbial drain-hole....

They've done all other combinations, for flying types, but no water-flying...

I hadn't thought of that. Aaaah. So that's why Diaruga & Parukia in some sites, and Dialga & Palkia on others.

I agree though. All of them until now have ended in eon. They'll probably want to keep it nice and together.

Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon(?), Glaceon(?). Too cool.

I've always wanted to have a party of only Eevee evolutions. Is it possible to get them all without trading? I haven't tried. Eevee + Ditto = Another Eevee?
 
hmmm... more reason to buy a ds....


i like water pokemon... but like the evolved look of the fire starter much more than the water and grass starters...

Just got Ranger a few days ago, so I can get the Manaphy egg in Diamond and Pearl. No reservation yet, 'cause I'm waiting for the official promotion with gifts ;)

3 months away... excited?
