OK but it seems like everyone on my team is a weakling except Talonflame. The only other ones I have build up high enough to fight online is Lapras (slow as shit) and Vivillon (kind of fast but weak as hell and has nothing really going for him except Bug Buzz).

Again it depends on what tier you're on. If you are fighting against Rotom, Legendaries, etc. then yes the team you have now will have a very difficult time. Lapras is slow but has great HP and Defenses. If you want a faster Lapras then breed Dragon Dance on it. Vivillion has Hurricane.

Your team, isn't that great tbh.

Eggexcutor, and Jynx are kind of awful, Klefki is pretty low tier, you should at least use Steelix or Scisor.

Talonflame is good, but you should probably switch him out for Blaziken or Hawlucha.

Basically you need to revamp your team, and yeah use Lapras.

I don't really know what you're trying to accomplish with your team but you need to see what type of strategy you are going for and pick the BEST pokemon that can accomplish that. Choosing random pokemon to fight only worked in the first generations.

Lol, I used to be very into my fire-types, but one of my favorite Pokemon to battle with is Ampharos. Not particularly fast, but has been one of my greater terrors. Need to hurry up and buy X while it's buy one get one free at Best Buy.

I wanted a team of bizarro Pokemon that people don't use too often. Sorry but I'm sick of seeing dumbass Charizard or Mewto every battle. They're so 2003. I wanted to be different. My team was supposed to be a misfit group of the lesser Pokemon that surprise people with their enchanting skills and psychic abilities but to be real they all suck and I am a sorry excuse for a Pokemon leader.

I have decided to retire as a Pokemon trainer for now. Way too much work and time needs to be invested in this to be good.

Don't let the cutesyness fool you. This game is a psychological mind game chess duel. I dare you to even try your hand at it. I guarantee you'd be slaughtered fool, so don't talk about something you couldn't possibly comprehend.

It's much less time consuming now than ever before. It's much easier to breed perfect IVs now that Friend Safari pokemon have at least 2 perfect IVs and the Destiny Knot item passes down a total of 5 IVs when breeding. It's very easy to get infected with Pokerus, and horde battles make EV training a breeze. I enjoy using pokemon that are rarely used too. Just pick the ones you want and make it known before you fight someone that you're not using the common pokemon. Jynx has good special attack and speed. Just give her a focus sash so she's guaranteed to do something. Exeggutor is annoying in a Sun team if he has his Harvest ability.
