I'm going to have to distance myself from news about further details until I get to eventually play it, at risk of seeing too many spoilers. So far it seems they are showing too much. Part of what made Portal such a surprise hit was. . . well. . . the surprises. Nobody really knew too much about the game until it was released, other than it was a game where you can make portals. Now for Portal2 they are already showing us details about the story and characters. . . and that there will be no cake!#-o

Valve is a very smart company. I'm sure they're revealing only exactly what they want us to see. I'm sure there are plenty of surprises in store for us.

I'm so excited for this game to come out...not only is the gameplay innovative, fun, and challenging, but the story and characters are awesome as well. Gladdos is a BAMF.
 
I loved the original, but the new bot voice really pisses me off. GLaDOS is the real star of the show.
