Christmas Eve, I was down here in the basement, in my "lair", surfing the web, and drinking some brandy/water/ginger ale. I was down here rather late, which increased my likely brandy intake.

When it was time to call it quits, I shut everything down, and walked around my computer table to turn off the Quartz Heater that's under it. As I bent forward my momentum kept going, and my forehead got TOO close to the cement floor, just beyond the padded carpet area. Talk about a SURPRISE! (OUCH!)

I managed to recover, and make my way up two floors to bed. I crawled into bed, sleeping (mostly) on my back. The next morning I freaked myself out looking in the mirror!

There was a crusted blood trail, leading from the bridge of my nose, up over my forehead, and back to my ear! I hadn't realized I'd broken skin!

Luckily, most of that cleaned off. However, I do have a gash, over my right eye, about 2" long, from the bridge of my nose, and up over my eyebrow. I've been telling folks that one of the reindeer kicked me. (Goes with the white beard I've grown.) :lol:

There hasn't been any swelling. No bruising. But I think it might leave a scar (hopefully not). If it does leave a mark I can just consider it an addition to my look of "character"! #-o :slap:
