Speaking of batteries, lots of gadgets use button cells like these;

They look harmless enough but beware! They get eaten. Why eat a battery? For whatever strange reason, they end up in people's bellies. If you eat one of these things, panic immediately. Get to hospital, don't waste a second. For these cells react with the acid in your stomach to burn a hole it it's wall. There are not many more painful ways to die. Next time you get the munchies, stick to biscuits.
 
^Yikes! But that awful delay probably isn't Spirit's fault. I dislike them for charging extra for everything...but airport delays are probably out of their control.

I was once delayed on a Southwest flight at Denver. We landed on time ..but no gates were available, and we sat on the tarmac for about an hour. I had a connection to Spokane that I worried about, but it worked out fine. On the connection, though, quite a few other passengers were headed to Las Vegas; that plane was headed there after the stop in Spokane, but what a detour!
