There is one kitchen tool that I'm afraid to buy. I did some research and found that they all have reviews of people cutting off their finger nails and big chunks of their fingers. ewwww. Mandoline. I can't look at one without thinking of cut up fingers now. I was looking for a tool to cut up purple sweet potatoes into chips. Oh well.

In that case, invest in a pair of mandolin gloves. Amazon will sell you some for under £10.

Huh. Almost all of the jobs I've had were retail, so lots of people, no problems. Most folks are cool. Other than the stick up at work.. But my happiness doesn't depend on anyone's approval. And has not depended on anyone's approval since, oh, about two years after puberty changed my head, call it Summer between 10th and 11th grade in High School.

I could be missing the entire point of this conversation. Which would not be the first time.
