The homeless are everywhere in Portland these days. We have the 12th highest rents in the States. Here are some example pictures of the emergent slums.

No, but I give out free coffee and off-hours bathroom privileges at work. There's a lot of will in town for property owners to make money, not a lot of will by the 'movers and shakers' to plan for affordable housing.

Searching for a clip of Androcles and the Lion I came across this handsome young thesp auditioning eighteen months ago. I don't know who he is or what he's in now but I bet he's broken a few hearts with those killer eyebrows.

I like this clip where a middle aged thesp (Kenneth Williams) is pretending to play that wonderful senior thesp Ernest Thesiger.

The more I watch the clip the more I enjoy the reactions of the two travellers at having to cope with dealing with a madman.
