That not increasing the population is better than increasing the population.

They do sound rather like virtue-signallers. Who wants to adopt a baby (or a dog) that has been rejected by others?

I don't understand this currently-popular notion that a pre-rejected dog is more desirable (or morally valuable) than a fresh dog.

Bill Nye the Science Guy got his start as an employee of the Seattle NBC affiliate, "KING-5 TV", (Channel 5).

When rumors that NBC's "Saturday Night Live" might be cancelled were confirmed by 1982, Seattle's KING-5 introduced it's own locally produced comedy series called, "Almost Live", starring the stations own employees in all types of comedy sketches.

Bill Nye quickly became a favorite and the show was so popular it beat SNL in the local ratings. Take a look:
