I just finished making the "longest distance" phone call I've ever made...I talked to a couple of people who I met in a family in Margaret River, Western Australia. My afternoon in that small and gorgeous town (about 10,000 people) is something I've remembered fondly since being there nearly 41 months ago. I even have a free b&b with them if I ever get back...it's doubtful (SO MUCH PLANET, SO LITTLE TIME) but on that day I just walked into a local shoppe and struck up a conversation that went on for about three hours. Margaret River is the farthest away town from me (other than, perhaps, Augusta), of any significance, in the world.

I love traveling!

Even if you don't go back, you've been there...Good on you, my brother plays guitar and sent me this.

Wow, that's NUTS...playing a guitar and didgeridoo at the same time, well, they're entirely different processes!! Somebody has to temporarily split their brain to do that - it's not like walking and chewing gum. I'm definitely impressed!

I actually made another phone call after, and talked to the son down there as well (he's in his 30s, and a second kid is on the way). Such nice people! It kind of sucks, though, being drawn to a town more than ten thousand miles away...even from Perth it takes some "doing" to get there. I liked both of them every bit as much as I did when I hung around for three hours during the afternoon when I was there.

Do you remember Ozguy? As Mitchell Cullen, he is also from Albany, W. A. - Western Australia is probably the largest State in the world, very possibly even larger than NWT or Nunavut in Canada - and I think it has the longest straight border in the world as well. Maybe one of the Oblasts in Siberia could be larger, or something like Sinkiang, but WA is huge. I'm considering any internal division within a country that has its own capital, to qualify.

And then there's this ...

Some good accomplishments today!

I dismantled hundreds of square feet of shelves, assembled with bricks/blocks and 3/4 inch sheets of plywood (cut to 36 inches wide), which were nine layers about eleven inches apart. Bottom layer four inches off the floor. The top layer was far over my head. This probably involved hauling about two or three tons. There's a lot more of this to go, but this is the FIRST time I've done any of this dismantling in many years.

About 450 square feet, which earlier I estimated around double that using erroneous arithmetic.

The storage shed (warehouse) is STILL very obstructed with very few open spaces and such, but it's a start.

I'm not very familiar with the topic, but I would certainly guess that this was causing a lot of toxic feng shui...if there is such a thing as a "bad" form of it...I'm hoping this "dent" helps the flow of energy, or whatever goes on with this.

Sorry about the quality of the video. It's crappy in full screen. But the music is great.

It's an Aussie band called 'Oka'. They've played here in Peterborough a few times over the years and I have a number of their CDs.
