  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Post something just for the heck of it

You've downloaded 758 books and articles using our service in the past 6 months. If you can make a donation [mirror] to support our work at this time we would be extremely grateful.

Z-Library is one of the largest online libraries in the world that contains over 8,533,000 books and 84,837,000 articles. We aim to make literature accessible to everyone.

Only thanks to your support over the past six months, we've made many improvements such as book rating, new category system, new book covers, book requests search, one-click download, most popular books in your language, updated category filter, terms search, ******** bot and much more. Also, we have refreshed/updated some of our major pages: download history, user’s profile, book requests, your favorites and new blog page. Your active support gives strength to our Team and inspires to work. Each donated dollar is not only money for us, but it is also the confidence that you really need our project!

At September, 15th, as in March and September of each year, we’ve allocated additional fundraising to project maintenance and development. We will be extremely thankful for every dollar that will be donated. Also UNLIMITED downloads (for 31 days after the day of making donation) are available for ALL contributors who will donate during the fundraising period.

Z-Library has many servers in the USA, Russia, Germany, Finland, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Luxembourg. Our stored data now totals more than 250 TB! And yes, it is expensive.

Every month, millions of people use Z-Library for their purposes — and that means we are on the right track. But it will be difficult to achieve our goals without your help. Z-Library is a non-profit project that exists at its founders' expense, and with your support.

Please consider making a donation.

But how many have you actually read?

p.s. I won't believe you if you say all of them.

The several dozens I have been selling over the past couple of months... no, a bit more.

And I do not read any books... I STUDY them

^^ The idea is to gather a library of one's own: it is hard enough to ensure that there will be electricity and internet for as long as you may need it, but it is even harder to make sure all the books you may need will be accesible at any given time...

It always seemed to me more important what one has retained from the books and, often even more important, what one has further and farther developed from their content.

Merely having the memory of having read a book is no advantage over having never read it, much less over having read, studied and assimilated only parts of it

If one does not sample enough books, it would be by mere fancy that one could decide which books are worthier to keep of every subject.
Plus I downloaded several sets of complete works from half a dozen of favourite Russian writers.

We lose internet often enough that I growl at my Nook every time it wants to consign one of my books to the cloud... and curse it when it does so without my knowledge! Recently I wanted to check a passage in the Greek New Testament, and had to wait for it to download because the Nook had sent it to the cloud.

I used to be able to pick any book at random from my shelves (over 200 feet of shelf space) and give a brief summary. Every since my PTSD started acting up, that's no longer true... and I hate it!

Assuming by "reading" what truly means reading, that is, understanding and assimilating what one reads.

In which case, reading IS a crime and a punishment at the same time.

Spare me this brand of eighties ´wisdom´! Thank the Lord we left that behind in The Netherlands on the opposite side of the Millennium!
