If anyone knows, and has seen this (and other episodes)...
How is it possible legally to drive something like this on a public road, when it clearly isn't safe for the other vehicles around it?

It most likely isn’t legal but they probably got filming permits, shut down the road, and the other cars are filming extras and not the public. I did see that episode but I don’t completely remember it, it’s been awhile. I remember problems with the bush falling off more than anything else

I suspected the roads were closed to the public, but some scenes seem to be very busy major roads. It didn't seem possible to close main roads and fill them with extras. But maybe the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation had more money and influence than I guessed.

I suppose that's one of those machines that was used to treat "hysteria" (as it was called) by inducing "hysterical paroxysms." (Unless, of course, the pic is Photoshopped.)

In the 19th century, when (in industrialized areas) coal- and steam-powered engines were everywhere, the chuff-chuff was likely a common enough sound that it wouldn't bother people too much.
