That was when he was younger and may have had a pass...

^ He's still got it, though, imho. :luv2:

So at my housekeeping job, my boss' girlfriend got this little guy from out in front of their apartment...

One of the stray cats had a litter of kittens and she nabbed this one. It's a boy. He's currently about the size of an average men's shoe, and he's just the most adorable thing in the history of ever.

He's so affectionate and loving. Absolutely sweet disposition and purrs like a damn chainsaw, for such a little cat. He's been weaned and is old enough to make it on his own independent of his mother cat. He's been given a clean bill of health by the vet my boss and his gf go to for their two existing older cats.

The intent here is to wait until he's old enough, get him fixed and vaccinated, and maybe, give him to me. So I'd have a little buddy to care for and play with.

What do you mean "fixed"?

Fixed, neutered... you mean castrated... to improve further upon his natural loving disposish.

Not only that, but here in the United States, especially if you live in a major city or suburb of a major city, depending on the different local laws for each municipality, in some cases, it's actually the law that if you're going to have a pet, it must be spayed or neutered.

How this is enforced is that if your dog/cat ends up either having a litter (females), or getting another dog/cat pregnant (males), and it gets traced back to your pet, you can be held financially responsible for the offspring, and you can sometimes incur a fine imposed by the city. In some cases, homeowners associations (that oversee some neighborhoods where residents own houses outright) and apartment complexes (I live in one) can impose their own rules and regulations upon pet owners on top of whatever rules the municipality imposes (they must know that you have a pet that lives with you / he or she must be neutered or spayed, with documentation of this from a vet / in some cases, you must pay pet rent - so you actually have to show some sort of financial accountability for the pet that lives with you / etc.), and repercussions against owners if the owners do not live up to their responsibilities of pet ownership.

There can be a debate all day long on a value judgment on whether it's right or wrong to spay or neuter pets/animals. But the fact remains that it pretty much is the law, and from there, it is what it is. /shrugs...

Law, companion, enforcement, shrug.

At first I just wanted to listen to the three-movement version of the ouverture, but once I jumped into this... what the heck, let's dive in...
