I always wish they'd bring back this timeline!

In 'real time' it would now be 2314 - about 20 years after the events of both Star Trek VI and Generations - you could still have Spock with an elderly Chekov, Uhura and Sulu, who would still be captain of the USS Excelsior.

Even if it was just a webisode or a short or a one-off or a mini-series. I'm sure George Takei and Walter Koenig and Nichelle Nichols would only be too happy to reprise their roles.

This timeline - or even better - the TNG/DS9/VOY one.

In that one it would now be.... *thinks* .... 2390?!?! (time flies!!)

You could re-explore e.g. Captain Riker and Troi (now husband and wife) on whatever ship he's commanding - or a return to DS9 - or what has happened to the Voyager crew in the 13 years (!!!!) since they returned home....
