Check this out: I opened an email update from Rolling Stone and the first article was about Sting's new album and how he has a reputation for throwing tantrums, blah, blah, blah. No biggy right.
Well the second story headline (coincidentally maybe? [maybe not] idk) read, POLICE ATTACK GROUP OF YOUNG ACTIVISTS. whaaaaa?!
Obviously, my immediate impression was, "oh mY GOD! That crazy son of a bitch Sting has finally pushed his band mates over the edge."

Now, I can see it with Andy Summers, maybe; He seems like he'd probably be a natural at beating teens with a club of some sort.
But Stewart Copeland? Naaawah, Get the fuck outta here! No way! Not my Stewie --- cause I mean, he was always so polite and considerate... and like, really super sweet I bet, and obviously adorable.... and so darn tall.

Well, that's about it, then a split second later it occurred to me, it wasn't the same police I thought they meant.

Someone at Rolling Stone had to have noticed that.
If I didn't know better I'd think somebody did it on purpose just to fuck with me.

I have no interest in most sports and I agree they get paid way too much but obviously they have talent. Not everything has to be about brains. And I love that the most popular football/sports superstar for the last decade - Beckham and now Cristiano and hopefully James in the future are so f###ing attractive!

You are debasing football by stating it has little or nothing to do with brains

By brainless I was referring to the persons themselves, not the players at work. They are just like geeks who are very good at something very specific, but are total doofs for everything else in life, yet they, being considered "athletes" are more respected and revered as true men, even supermen, instead of being treated like the weirdo jugglers they actually are.

There are hos with great sexual talent, which provide the same hardOning hapinness, while providing a more useful service, and they do not get paid millions. There are people who provide services without which even those great "athletes" couldn't live, let alone perform ad "athletes", yet they do not get the same credit, let alone the same millions.

But, anyway, it is ultimately not about talent at sports, just social fad fostering financial speculation and media advertising. Even the if the achivements of Ronaldo or Messi had not been as great, they would have been paid just as much as they are being paid now. What counts is not the specific fact as the degree of social attention and the financial speculation all that popularity brings with it.

A few weeks ago, Jay Z was pissed when an Argentinian tourist in Paris was asking his bodyguards who was he: you are as great as a specific market makes you to be, regardless of talent, taste or whatever: that is why the Kardashians or P Hilton get so much money, minor works of great painters are sold at hundreds of millions of dollars, why best-selling books are reduced to their paper and binding's worth, and ditched to be made pulp again after a few months, and why certain tunes give more money than music generally acknowledged as "greater".
