But that's Haendel: I was talking about "mediocrity" and "easy listening".

I wish I could recover Sampson's rendition of Da tempeste, that I found on YouTube, but couldn't download, several years ago. (It's not the one that you can find now posted on that site).
I think it was in some 2005 festival concert in Germany or Austria.

Oh, btw, I always preferred Haendel's later work, and although I generally prefer his oratorios, I particularly enjoy Ariodante, sung either in English or Italian, who cares...
