I lived in Toluca Lake when he still had his shop there. He kept all his cars, including this one, on the open street.Of all the George Barris Kustoms, my favorite remains the Batmobile, a car so popular you can buy a replica it you have the deep pockets.

Wasn't this the intro of the quad headlights? The thing came with a mini-bar in the glove compartment for those times you just needed a drink on the road.![]()
The 1957 Eldorado Brougham was a Motorama Dream Car that Cadillac actually put into production!

I remember my father saying that to the dealer when my parents got the last family car. They're just a means of getting from A to B.

This is the car for engine size queens. John Dodds built himself this plaything around a Rolls Royce Merlin engine, as fitted to the heroic Spitfire warplane.
27 litres V12 developing 750 horse power without the supercharger, which they had to remove to get it to fit.
It will easily sail past 200 mph, he never found out just how fast it would go as the tyres would not be able to cope with much more speed.
Driven hard, it only returns about 6 miles to the gallon so it's a rich mans toy. I Iike the colour if nothing else.
