I must confess, when I was 5 years old the 1962 Studebaker Avanti absolutely freaked me out with those creepy headlight "eyes".

For years the sight of this car made my skin crawl.

It wasn't until Nate Altman, and his production team, re-designed the face of the car as the Avanti II in 1965 that I could stand to look at the car.
Studebaker closed it's doors in 1966, but the Avanti II continued as a stand-alone custom production automobile.

This is the extremely rare 1959 Mark IV Town Car.

I've never actually seen one except in photos but I know the car was only available in Presidential Black with a Black vinyl roof.
