Like the guys at my high school used to say, "Laguna all the Way!"
As a matter of fact, one day in the school library, I was showing a photo of a 1957 Continental Mark II to one of my high school buddies.
He asked "if this is a Mark II, what does the Mark I look like?". No one had ever asked me that before!
Well the original Lincoln Continental was from 1940 to 1948, but it was never called a Mark I.
Few original Continentals were made but even today an example in good condition shows up as a "Barn Find Classic".
