Powerball is up to $1.5 Billion if you take the 30 year annuity, or $745.9 Million for the one-time cash payout. All, of course, before Uncle Sam and Uncle [your state] take their cuts.

The chances are miniscule, but they're zero if you don't buy a ticket.

Do you buy Lottery Tickets? I do.

I normally do not buy tickets - but when it gets to ridiculous numbers like $1 billion - I do.

Taking the cash payout - even after taxes - I could give so many friends $1 million each and change their lives - while still having more money than I could ever spend (but it would be fun trying!)

/\ Knocked up by deadbeat opportunity.

You have a better chance of your favorite celebrity showing up at your door wanting to fuck you and give you a million dollars than winning that one but obviously you can't win at all if you don't play lol

But someone will win eventually, and my chances are just as good as theirs. As long as there is a chance, people will play. I play in a pool with a bunch of others. I only have $2 in it anyway, so why not?

And it’s a fun thing to do with your friends and coworkers.

Yes. My neighbors and I will run to the Tennessee line tomorrow afternoon and eat at a cafe and buy some tickets.

Alabama doesn't want those dollars staying here. They ask everyone to drive.

Yes, I always play a minimal amount, but when it is much higher I will play a few extra dollars. When I was younger I would have taken it over the 29 years but now that I am older I will take the lesser amount up front. I actually wouldn't want to win this much money because it puts a target on your back. Hope it is divided between three to five winners.

My state makes us be public and flash our names and pictures in the media. I'd love to win, but I have looked up past winners and the number that has been killed or hurt by people trying to get the money is way more than you would think. Even sadder is the amount of people that kill or try to kill people and they did it so fast the winner didn't even have the money yet or they were not in line for any inheritance (such as an ex-sister in law with no ties left) so they wouldn't get anything anyway.

Winning that much would ruin the bit of life I have as I doubt I could stay in town, but it would be nice to make a new life.

To answer the question I do play a bit and I have a system I use. It has never worked, but what can I do.

Whatever the fuck for? Is that some leftover from the time before joining THE LAND OF THE FREE?

So they can advertise the lottery since it is ran by the state. A few have tried to get a bill passed to let us be anonymous or be able to claim it as a company, but it has never even got close to a vote.

I believe even in Washington state you can put winnings in an irrevocable trust. You name the trust and the trust is reported to the media not your name.
