Very good article I read today in Poz magazine I wanted to share. I thought about doing Crystal meth not going to lie. And although I admit I was tempted the stories people shared on this board earlier this year really got me to think. PBS did a program about meth a few years ago. Nasty. I've never thought about doing meth (even once). I'm always looking at the hookup ads on Craigslist. I see "PnP", "Go Fast" and Party ads. Not just a few. And I've seen posts by guys in their 40's looking for that shit.

If someone wants to fire a bowl or fry a joint around me, no problem. If they want to snort some 'snow' aka coke, no problem. Bring out that glass pipe..... I'm elbows and asshole for the door. Ain't no way I'm sticking around.

Meth completely destroys a person.
 
In Toronto, at the bathhouses guys are always saying "do you want to party" or are you into "PNP" and "do you know anyone who likes to party?" I think what surprised me the most reading the article is gay men inject crystal meth into their bodies. I thought that people smoke it through a glass cylinder? Didn't know people actually inject it into their veins.

I can tell you with no doubt at all....if you haven't ever done it...DO NOT EVER TOUCH IT!

I was addicted to it...and I pulled myself out right before it was too late...more than once...

My "secret" (if you want to call it that)....I never used the needle or smoked it.

It lured me in probably because I had depression and hated the prescription drugs..and Meth felt like everything was GREAT...for awhile anyway....it is a lie...a big one..because it starts to go south and you go down with it...fast....

Also..no one ever knew I was doing meth...I was very physically fit and healthy looking at the time ...and my personality is talkative when I have nothing in my system...so no one ever knew about it and they were shocked when I told them...

I was lucky though....most of the people I did meth with...not so lucky...and dead long ago...

You have posted often about all your addictions, your many health issues and your promiscuous lifestyle and I can't help but wonder if you are thankful everyday to still be alive?

I was always thankful to be alive.

....and I don't have a promiscuous lifestyle...I fucked a lot of men and had a good time..when I was single. I have been with the same man for 30 years. We are doing great..|
 
I'm very happy you made the right decision regarding Crystal meth. It's ruined a lot of lives.
 
Could never understood why folks chose to experiment with any drug besides weed or even wanting to play with any drugs in the first place for that matter.

I'd agree with you there but i'd included weed, i have a few friends that take it and it turns them into right arseholes.

I did speed twice when I was young. Did coke a couple times. And of course, mary jane (also hash). Nothing any harder. Never had a desire to even try them. Was offered acid when I was in high school, turned it down.
 
I check out the local Craigslist ads. The amount of ads saying "go fast", "PnP" and such are disturbing. And there are guys that state they are in their 40's. Idiots.
