Prediction: Ann Coulter, Conservatives "Not Given Same Leeway as Jews"

Sometimes when I get to a story early, I try to picture the next few steps. Obviously, there's gonna be at least SOME fall-out from this story. Some Jewish leaders are gonna be pissed. What will Ann Coulter and the heavy-duty conservative pundits say in response? My guess - "For centuries, the Jews have proclaimed themselves the chosen people of God. That's their belief. Now, apparently, Christians can't argue this point? They can't claim that perhaps they believe THEIR faith is correct? Why the double standard?"

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Conservative commentator and best-selling author Ann Coulter may find herself in the midst of a controversy for comments Monday suggesting America would be better if everyone was Christian.

Asked by CNBC host Donny Deutsch what the U.S. looks like in her dreams, Coulter said it would look like the Republican National Convention in 2004

"People were happy,” she said, according to a transcript provided to CNN by CNBC. “They're Christian. They're tolerant. They defend America."

When Deutsch responded, "It would be better if we were all Christian?" Coulter said "Yeah."

Deutsch, himself Jewish, continued to press Coulter on her remarks, asking, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians then?"

"Yeah," Coulter responded, adding "Well, it's a lot easier. It's kind of a fast track."

"You can't possibly believe that," Deutsch responded. “You can’t possibly. You’re too educated.”

"Do you know what Christianity is?" Coulter replied. "See, we believe your religion, but you have to obey. We have the fast track program."

Later in the interview Deutsch asked Coulter if she doesn't want any Jews in the world, Coulter responded, "No, we think — we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say."

"Wow, you didn't really say that, did you," Deutsch said.

When she is invited to appear on TV, the producers should be prepared for such remarks from her. She is talking to her base, and they will buy more of her books when they hear her deliver verbal bombs like that. How anyone can take her seriously is beyond me.

What Ann Coulter needs is a few good meals because her anorexia or bulimia is obviously affecting her mind. I'm not Jewish but if I were, I would be extremely offended by her 'perfected' remarks.

Not her most outrageous comment,there have been many in far poorer taste,even more appaling...but one that shows her for the ignorant,thoughtless,arrogant horses ass she is.I am not against provocative,thoughtful insight that doesn't mesh with liberal orthodox thinking.But she is so simplistic,closed minded crass and callous,as well as bigoted....and if that kind of in your face conservatism is all she's got,I have no interest in listening.
