I realize I'm all late to this thread and whatnot, but I would say to you Piggy that your assignment is to get' holt' of a copy of Grateful Dead's "Touch of Grey" and listen to it about 100x in a row.
My beard is all grayish-whitish. My hair doesn't show it MUCH in the mirror, but when I go to the barber's, and when I look at the clumps on the haircut cape, I see a TON of grey. There's just this flash around my temples.
There's a flash around my temples! a FLASH! This silvery flash!!! It's like those sexy rich daddy types that you see in some comics, with just that hint around the temples. Bitch, this is a flash you couldn't PAY to get put in your hair!. LISTEN to Transpogue.
Seriously, at 46, as I remember my mom and pop, i'm just on time. I've known some guys who went way gray way earlier. However, as usual, what I would point out is, the only thing that matters is that YOU know what you've got to offer, because if YOU know, others can tell, as well.
(And when you're done with 100x "touch of gray," I suggest 100x "Built to last," because what is better than a beautiful cheesy Dead song?)

I can't explain why, but it doesn't have to be a negative. My ex is about your age and I think his graying has added some character to his appearance.
And I've always liked comic Steve Martin, who's been gray-haired forever. And David Gregory of Meet the Press.
