President Obama it is!

Wow, it just goes to show that ANYBODY can win the Preidency, even if you have accomplished nothing in your political career. The first affirmative-action president.

Yeah, that hole your head's in...it's your anus.

Crowbar and a bottle of wet should cure that no problem.

I have a distinct feeling this race will be officially over in 22 minutes.

McCain is taking it over though, 50-49%.
Yeah, but the precincts that we're waiting on are in a relatively liberal part of the state (pretty much surrounded by blue counties).

Centex, any word on Crawford, TX? I'm particularly interested in knowing if the city council will allow George W to return in January? (!)

Crawford, Texas is a municipality located within McClennan County.

Waco, Texas is the County Seat of McClennan County, and while the rest of the country votes "progressive" this Southern Baptist County, and home of Baylor University continues to move FURTHER to the right.

Please notice that Democratic Congressman Chet Edwards WILL remain Bush's Congressman once Bush43 goes into the "witness protection" program.

I hope my state kicks her out. That 'Godless' desparate ploy would be embarassing if it succeeded.

Well she did hold the Helms seat, didn't she? I would've been disappointed but not surprised if it would have worked. I'm damn glad it didn't.

Didn't you tell me, too, that his district is the "reddest" one in Texas? One of the re-districts (wrangled by Tom DeLay, et. al.) which was thought to be perpetually safely Republican?

John McCain, Elizabeth Dole, and many others - THANK YOU for giving me some wonderful schadenfreude tonight!

Not only did I tell you that, it's also the truth. ;)

(*8*)

On a county and state level, most of the votes in this area call themselves "independents" when not voting Republican , but when it comes to their Congressional Representative they're Democrats. :D

YES WE CAN

The tears are falling

OBAMA :)

Jesse Jackson is really emotional. I'm happy for all African Americans, as we turn a historic page in this country.

And now the real John McCain comes out. This is the man I knew in 2000. I wonder what happened to him in this election. If he would have been like he was in his concession speech he might have had a better chance to win.

I know! I found myself wishing I was there to hug him. Say what you like about the man, but he was there during the MLK days. This has to be a huge moment for him.
