The saddest part is that Trump doesn't give a shit. They could operate by candlelight for all he cares.

Be fair. The need in Puerto Rico is so great, it is impossible to ameliorate it significantly. The lack of power is the hardest to solve. The Pres cannot ship it to them.

To be fair, if it was an outpost in the Middle East, the whole place would be invented and installed over night. I believe we have the means, the might, but the POTUS has no will. These are Americans. This, to be fair, is shameful.

He certainly the hell can. Generators to supply energy to hospitals should have been one of the first things sent

But he can sign over a $300 million contract to a small, 2-year-old company which had only 2 full-time employees on the day the hurricane hit. Over 200 new employees are now in Puerto Rico.

Oh, and the company is owned by a man who happens to be one of Trump's most faithful donators.

It turns out that Trump CAN ship it to them... on YOUR dime.

He cannot ship power.

Trump does not have time to deal with natural disasters he has to deal with his man made disasters.

^ Now we know why it took Trump so long to do something. It took that long for Whitefish Energy to hire and equip all those people.

Now, try to tell me that Trump didn't have this planned from day one.

Yep. Draining the swamp my ass. Ben and his ilk want to be deaf, dumb and blind to what Trump really represents, that's their problem. But what it is isn't good for America.

The problem is, bad as Trump is , he is still better than the alternative. You, obviously are bind, deafamd dumb to the Uranium One scandal in which Clinton "foundation" and Bill recieved millions, and Russians got control of 20% if US uranium. https://www.newyorker.com/news/amy-davidson/five-questions-about-the-clintons-and-a-uranium-company
And you are blind and deaf to the fact that the Clinton campaign paid for the fabricated Dossier, trying to tie Trump to the Russians who were flooding money to the Clintons.

Those people are "brown" and they can just die for all D...ump cares.

How much help has he given to California for all the wildfires and incredible destruction of thousands of homes? There's probably been some help, but I haven't heard of *ANYTHING* in the way of help there. After all, he despises California, because of course they "allowed millions of illegals to vote" as he stupidly thinks - and they're goddam Democrats, too. He would be giving high fives to everybody in the Kremlin if a big earthquake caused the whole state to slide off to sea, because he would win in 2020 and that's all he cares about.

I see that Ben has picked up on the new trumptard spin about the Steele dossier being paid for by the Clinton campaign

expect him to flood many threads with that

I wonder if Ben knows, or cares, that it was Republicans who first paid...then it was the Clinton campaign who later picked it up

...then the FBI?, I believe

also, it doesn't matter who paid for it....what matters is if it's true

oh, I forgot to ask....What the fuck does this have to do with President Trump’s response to the electrical outage in Puerto Rico?

perhaps the mods should make this an On Topic thread

Well, it didn't take long for the investigations to start.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Puerto Rico's governor on Sunday demanded that the board of the island's power company cancel the $300M contract with Whitefish Energy Holdings amid increased scrutiny of the Montana company's role in Hurricane Maria recovery efforts.

The announcement by Gov. Ricardo Rossello comes as federal legislators seek to investigate the contract awarded to the small company from Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's hometown.

"There cannot be any kind of distraction that alters the commitment to restore electrical power as soon as possible in Puerto Rico," Rossello said, adding that at least $8 million has been paid to Whitefish so far.

Neither Whitefish nor power company officials immediately returned messages for comment.
