Pride

My friend and I were at the Target yesterday, and we were pleasantly surprised that they had not only gay pride merchandise, but also bi and trans pride. And the products were displayed right at the entrance. Flagstaff is a pretty progressive town, but I still didn't expect to find that kind of stuff at Target, of all places.
I don't remember ever seeing Pride stuff in Target before. I wonder if its just stores in certain regions, or maybe only those within city limits of some larger cities?
Might have to stop in the local Target on the weekend just out of curiosity. I'd be a bit surprised to see anything though...

They do the same thing for Portland, OR Pride.
So Denver isn't the only one that picks a bad weekend...

I wish I didn't but I hate pride......

To be fair...I hate any parade. When they have the downtown one where my store is..I turn off the lights and lock the doors and close so I don't have to pretend I am excited or interested.

I have paradeaphobia..... I can't even watch them on TV ....

I don't like big crowds or traffic either. I have a skill where I can get through the entire San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley and even Santa Cruz all on backroads or roads where there isn't much traffic...but on Pride Weekend even I wouldn't venture near SF...no way around bumper to bumper traffic.

Last year...we accidentally "arrived" at a gay pride parade in Watsonville....I thought it was a Farmers Market with the tents around the park so I walked over to see if they had any watermelons....(they didn't:lol:)

I live now in Valencia, Spain. Spain eh first country on earth to allow Gay Marriage is one of the least homophobic places on earth. I first started going to ay Pride Parades in New York City in the 80;s then California In one of the marches Jay Leno and his wife were riding in a convertible. hie not a friend fo Jay I would see him all the time as NBC Studios in Burbank was at the corner of my street and each day he would take one of his more than 450 vintage cars and take a ride before his show. One day I was mowing the lawn he said Hi I said hi he said I need water he was in a Stanley Steamer from the early 1900's. I gae him water. At the march he and his wife turned on to the parade route with his wife in 1956 Chevy Belair He waved to me said what the hell is this I said Gay Pride March he said to his wife w are in it might as well wave LOL. Have also been 15 times to the London Gay Pride March and in it when we lived there. Here is it 18th of July.

Happened across this the other just by chance...

There is a free 'Pridefest' app/game for Android.
Just search search the google play store for "Pridefest"
You have a town you can run little pride parades around it and build/upgrade buildings.. I'm not totally sure what all you're supposed to do, it seems kinds boring like some of the reviews said
It occasionally asks you to connect your FaceBook (something I would NEVER do) but you can skip that.
