Prince Harry's book, 'Spare'

^ "Written by" as in "built by an architect" or "engineered by Calatrava".

I saw Prince Harry's interview with Anderson Cooper. I believed what Harry said and feel that he has a lot of pain and resentment towards his family and the British press. He will not always feel the way he does now, and when he wants to be with his father, the King, and his brother, he will regret writing the book.

Don't have time to read the thread, quick thoughts:

There's a literal sexual predator in the family and Harry is STILL the most hated. This is a royal line with a history of sponsoring racist genocide theft and slavery but yeah Harry is the bad guy. The moment he married a biracial woman he sealed his fate. He will always be the villain. William could livestream himself kicking a puppy off a bridge into a river and he won't be hated as harshly as Harry. If you want a sure-fire way to provoke the anger of non-blacks, talk about racism. It never fails.

Countertheory: He exorcised a lot of demons and telling his side of the story is a massive weight off his shoulders. A lot of people were invested in the royal fantasy of perfection and he broke that. Truthtellers are seldom appreciated in their time.

Snuck back in to add a final point raised by ?Colbert? (one of the late night guys), the British media literally killed Harry's mother in their insatiable pursuit of every morsel and crumb of gossip they could get and now he releases all of it in a tell-all book and they're.... angry? It's because he married a biracial woman and called out racism in the royal family. Final answer.

Name one person in history that exposed racism and was hailed as a hero by wypipo. Just name one. I can name several that were assassinated for it.....

I heard on the news that Harry killed 25 Taliban members

He has a security member carrying a Glock for his interview with Stephen Colbert (which I havent watched yet)

60 minutes was a good interview- I always liked Harry as I know how traumatized a child can be to lose his mom - he was a mommies boy and needed help after her death. And to hear him talk about her- was very sad.

i also think in time this will be good for the royals - shows them as humans. Not like there haven’t always been scandals

I saw that last night too, although not by choice. I was watching 60 minutes because zilch was on and I was online and watching it in the background. The prince came across as foolish, protected, and privileged to the point as not being able to deal with reality. He said he still believed his mother faked her death until he was at least 23. Just incredibly surreal. Denial is usually a short phase. Protracted, it seems to impugn the very ability of the royals to deal with what the rest of us encounter every day.

And, far from endearing him to the public, his actions echo his mother's, which directly oppose the entire mystique of the royals. Once they are not somehow imbued with the inherent "holiness" of caste, then they become merely parasites. They either DO or DO NOT embody a British ideal. That is what is behind the extreme reserve of the royal family. Once you are too human, you lose that. Ultimately, the Commonwealth citizens appear to want a diorama set of royals, not a dressed up set of Kardashians.

The revelations Harry made about texts between his wife and Williams seemed both petty and damaging to a ridiculous degree.

If his divulging his kill count results in his assassination by terrorists, his folly and martyrdom could actually work to go against William before he ever takes the throne, threatening the monarchy itself, ultimately.

Finally, and most fatally, it ill-behooves the son of a royal literally hounded to death by paparazzi to then "feed the kitty" by literally selling tantalizing gossip to them. That unseemly contradiction has been the glaring truth for 50 years or more. Royals cannot simultaneously exploit the media and then cry about the reporters working 24/7 to captrure the next valuable story or pic of them.

If people were not generally unable, one way or the other, to deal with everyday realities, there would be no politics, no religion, no ideologies, no fake news and alternative facts, no fantasy books or cinema (particularly of the Django Unchained or Inglourious Basterds sort), no social media, no wars, no marketing, no social bickering about this or that... even financial capitalism wouldn't exist.

"Once they are not somehow imbued with the inherent "holiness" of caste":
- those who always considered them parasites will start barking it out louder.
- those who always were there to lick their boots will denounce them as "traitors" for making worthless both the boots and the licking they spent on them and, most importantly, for endangering the future of royal boot-licking.
- those who always need someone to worship will keep worshipping them as descended gods rather than fallen angels.

And the latest example of him being so dumb and unaccountable ...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64231560
Prince Harry has said claims he boasted in his new book about killing 25 Taliban fighters while on duty in Afghanistan are a "dangerous lie".
The prince has been criticised for discussing killings in Spare, with some military figures saying it was wrong to refer to the dead as "chess pieces".
But on US TV, Harry accused the press of taking his words out of context and said the spin endangered his family.
He also defended his remarks, saying he had wanted to reduce veteran suicide.

^^ Dumb and unaccountable against dumb and unaccountable press and dumb and unaccountable good common people who share that view of "the enemy" as pawns in a game, just like sacred WWII veterans who would innocently boast to the same dumb and unaccountable press and dumb and unaccountable audience that the conflict was about "killing Japs".
Harry has merely jumped, and adding a common insider view's, for a change, conflict, in the public idle righteus chat of "enemies", "fair cause and just war", and those who are endangering him, the royals and the army are those making a bigger deal than usual because of their interest in presenting a sham reasoned case to publicly discredit him as someone whose dumbness and unaccountability must be set and kept apart from dumbness and accountability as a matter of course among the dumb and unaccountable royals and the dumb and unaccountable media and public opinion.

It is reported Nelson Mandela's granddaughter Ndileka has accused them of using her grandfathers name and legacy for self promotion...seems these two don't care who they step on to get the attention they crave-they used oprah the same way but with her being unprofessional and not bothering to fact check as ratings and money were more important, she got what she deserved. They have contradicted themselves so much and now it's all starting to unravel- lord knows what made up drama they will come with next. On another forum site it has been noticed ( with gratitude) the mad wife is suddenly silent and unseen, which is very out of character.

:rotflmao:

Harry and Megan: there's racism in the royal family
Everyone: HOW DARE YOU?!

a lot of what they've said has been corroborated by others, but by aligning himself with a biracial woman Harry has made a target of himself. Every time he poots or sneezes it'll be dissected and psycho-analyzed and he'll be called the worst villain in all of human history. The only thing that makes non-blacks hornier than bashing outspoken brown people is bashing their outspoken white allies.

We've spent years consuming every ounce of gossip the british tabloids wrote about this family, but suddenly we're too austere for that and how dare he stir up drama? :rotflmao:

Actually Harry said in the interview his family wasn't racist so that kinda screws with your argument. And of course in the bullying investigation there are accusations of meghan herself being racist towards foreign staff particularly a Spanish woman who was constantly mocked by meghan for her accent

MEGHAN GREW UP 'PASSING'--she was reared by her father; her mother wasn't in the picture. (Forget her accounts that she was out of place in HS--she was elected Homecoming Queen at Immaculate Heart High School for crissake.) SO SHE'S OBSSESED BY RACE. Like a masculine gay male--not out--constantly wondering whether or not people are guessing or can guess he's gay.

Harry, for his part, grew up sensitive to being the second son. Rather than being relieved that he didn't one day have to be King and didn't have the responsibilities that come with the job, he has chosen to look for slights whether they exist or not, and then to become obsessed with them.

Two obsessive narcissists.

^ "Open Out Loud" obsessive narcissists: to name just a few, do not tell me Madge, Annie or Phil, who would make tough military men leave a room crying, have proven to be any less: their cases have just been more traditionally "private" about it. Those are both media royals. It would be rather good news if they had turned out to be quite "normal" people but, that not being the case

what-did-you-expect-oprah-winfrey.gif

Every time another snippet of an interview is aired, Harry comes off looking like a kid from primary school, still protesting about his brother shoving him to the ground. It just makes him look so immature and petulant, a grown man trying to smear his brother in high office for a small slight.

And the talk show hosts and news pundits flocking to give him a stage are shameless hangers on. Just an embarrassment to their so-called mandate to provide the public with news.

Destined for smallness, he is.
