Pro Wrestling Talk

I'm more interested to see what happens at Takeover, whether any of the UK Tournament guys will pop up in any capacity (since they've got a few of them out there).

So far it's been good. Just waiting for Ember Moon vs Asuka.

Impact Wrestling: A frustrating night of TV with wind gusts swaying the tree tops messing up our satellite TV reception. I did see Eli Drake in the first match and it is nice to see him win a match again. He has had quite a streak where he has been loosing. I think he is quite a sexy guy. I would rather have Eddie Edwards as the heel as I just got sick of him as the good guy. Davey Richards is a rather good looking man and maybe he will be a sexy heel. I don't know what is going on with EC3, I guess a heel turn which I think is unneeded.

I am loyal fan of the show, so I will probably stick with it no matter what. There is a lot to appreciate about the show. A good ending to the Last Man Standing match between Eddie Edwards and Davey Richard. The showing of hesitation on Davey Richards' part is good storytelling and adding another layer to things.

In a lot of ways Pro Wrestling is like Soap Operas.

I like Jeremy Borash but in this instance I am getting tired of him really quick. I am a stinker I don't always root for the heroes.

Don't get why so many people are vicious towards Roman Reigns. I'm not his biggest fan, but the hate he gets seems a bit over the top to me.

I don't watch the WWE but I think Roman Reigns has a cool look. I have no idea why people have such hate for him, but maybe he needs to switch it up go heel and then turn back into a hero at some point.

I've been saying this for years.

A well conceived storyline whether it be in a Soap Opera or Pro Wrestling can really bring things to a new level. In Pro Wrestling they run across that certain something by accident I think quite a bit of the time. Some things look like they will catch on and they flop.

I think audience participation where you have the Wrestlers have a cool slogan or speel can really add to the Wrestling. Impact Wrestling is really in much need of that clever dialog dynamic. EC3 has the gift of witty lines, but for whatever reason they seem to be pushing him to the heel column. I think Eli Drake and his gift for gab with his sayings could really catch on if given a decent chance regardless if he is heel or face.

I am conflicted about James Storm. I think it is cool he has his cowboy gimmic back, and it shows that the crowd is really craving cool talk when they have forgiven him so fast for being a scuzzbag character for months on end. I like Bram quite a bit and he just seems to be getting nowhere fast. I think he needs a good manager that can focus his talents and I would lean toward keeping him in heel mode for quite a spell but get him back to a dominate, climbing the ladder mode again. This is the guy that beat Abyss three or four times in those hardcore matches to have him beaten seemingly so easy these days just doesn't ring true.

I read over at a Pro Wrestling News website that Damien Sandow aka Aaron Rex is no longer part of Impact Wrestling. I was starting to appreciate his Liberace gimmick. I didn't like that they turned Drew Galloway heel when they brought Aaron Rex in.

I also read that DJZ got injured while wrestling in Mexico. It was fairly serious; he had an injury to his colon from a 450 splash. He had emergency surgery and they were able to repair his colon. He is recovering in a Mexico Hospital and hopes to get back to wrestling as soon as possible. The Wrestlers seem bigger than life, and something like this reminds us that there are dangers in this occupation. Hopefully he fully recovers and returns to professional wrestling.

Ratings wise Impact Wrestling drew 309,000 viewers which is an improvement over last week.

Sad to hear about Zema Ion. That kid is just beautiful. He's been out a few times, once before on a colon complaint. I hope he gets better even though I can't watch his show.

What exactly is going on on Impact these days. A brief summary would be most appreciated.

Turning him heel would be a good idea, but sadly Vince McMahon is to busy trying to make him the top guy now instead of have him play a mega heel who could possibly win the fans over then have him do the baby face thing.

He certainly has an interesting style with his wrestling skills and his costume.

As for Impact, The DCC just broke up and their leader James Storm has returned to Cowboy James Storm mode. EC3 looks like he is on his way to being a heel which I think is a bad move because it just doesn't seem to be needed at this time. The Hardys, Drew Galloway and Jade have left Impact Wrestling. They have a new guy called Alberto Patrone who went by another name in the WWE. LAX has returned but Homicide and Conan have two younger guys do the Wrestling as they accompany them to the ring.

There is a whole slew of new Knockouts. Dixie Carter has left TV and has no control over the Company. There is a feud going on between Josh Mathews and Jeremy Borash which is to be settled next week as they each have a team of guys fighting for them.

Rockstar Spud has been relegated to being an unseen ring announcer. Ali is free of Maria. Maria and her husband also have left Impact Wrestling.

If you do a web search for "Pro Wrestling Net" and select Impact Wrestling you can read what has happened on past episodes. They also have News about Impact Wrestling. I just read the free stuff but if you join they have extra stuff but I am happy with reading what they offer for free.

Thanks so much for the info. ..|

You are entirely welcome. I am glad I can get this discussing pro wrestling out of my system. Not all that many people appreciate professional wrestling anymore. That website I told you about is a great place to go to for Impact Wrestling News and there are detailed reports of what happens on each episode.

Perhaps someday Impact Wrestling will be back on Spike TV. I watch it on The Fight Network here in Canada.

It is a rather sad thing when the heroes get jeered. I remember how Hulk Hogan got booed a fair bit before his heel turn in WCW. He got even more boohs when he ran the NWO but the fans came around to liking him again. I would say that the Hulk Hogan heel turn at Bash At The Beach was the most effective heel turn of all time thus far. That NWO with Hogan as lead just gave WCW that kick in the butt in needed to surpass the WWE. Then the WWE thrilled us with their Attitude Era where they upped their game.

A rather disappointing episode of Impact Wrestling. I am turned off big time by the EC3 storyline. I am also disappointed that the keep having Decay dominated in their matches to prop just about everyone else. This is a team they can really build something around and it is sad what is happening.

I am enjoying this week's episode of Impact Wrestling much more. It looks like maybe somebody realizes that Decay is not a team to let wither on the vine. They should get the belts back and it is nice to see Rosemary hang on to the Knockout's World Title. I really think Decay could get a buzz going if TPTB work things the right way.

I think Alberto Patron has a rather sexy voice. It was nice to see Rockstar Spud on TV and he is a rather good looking guy dressed in a plain black suit.

I thought for a little bit last night when they wouldn't reveal who the final participant was for the X Division Title Match that someone was going to come out and make Josh Mathews get in the ring. That would have been interesting but I am glad it was Low Ki who was the final participant. He sure has the moves and I like his ring attire as it suits him well and I suppose that is an intended pun.

At least for two week's running Impact Wrestling drew over 300,000 viewers. I read that Maria and Mike Bennett are headed to the WWE. I hope that works out well for them, as they do have talent and hopefully the WWE will capitalize on that to improve their product. I of course am done with the WWE and there is no one they can add to their roster that can pull me back in as a viewer to my knowledge anyway. However I am glad that the WWE exists, I appreciate the entertainment they brought me in years past.

I don't know what last night's viewer numbers were for the Impact Wrestling live show. The show signed off last night at 9:50pm here in Canada on The Fight Network. Though in weeks past it signs off around 9:57pm. I rather like it does sign off a few minutes early because it gives me time to turn it over to watch The Blacklist.

EC3 is half way a heel, half way a face. I am conflicted about all this, I think James Storm has appeal but the transition to good guy again seems to be in fast forward. I don't think they should have a new world heavyweight champion anytime soon as Bobby Lashley is doing well in that role.

I read a bunch of spoilers of the Impact Tapings, not much there that I am pleased about.
