Is anyone watching project runway this season? Any thoughts or comments? I was a bit surprised that Sandro, the Russian designer walked off the show. He had a really bad temper. It did make for dramatic TV though.

Sandro is probably the worst guy I've ever seen on the show - the word asshole is too nice to describe him. Drama is drama, and there have been plenty of guys and girls that brought plenty of it to the show(Santino, Gretchen, etc), but he was in another league. The army gal from Wisconsin is drama; he's a basketcase.

As for the designers so far, I actually do like some of them, though I think I can see Helen being out soon if she doesn't get it together. Kate is proving her worth, and Braden so far looks to be a frontrunner - him and Dom(Don? I'm bad with her name) are definitely my favorites right now.

Sandro is definitely the biggest asshole they ever had. The producers probably had an orgasm when they saw what an idiot he was.

I think it is weird with Tim sitting with the judges....

I usually don't get any favorites until the final six or less...and whoever is my favorite is doomed LOL I think once my favorite won (Christian)....

the worst one was def Timothy.. that whole echo friendly shit he was doing and then he was sitting burning plastic? i will it was kinda of a shame that they brought on someone that young & unexperience to "show" such a valueable cause.

I really like what Dom and Kate has been putting out... Helen is really good too if she can pull herself together somemore

Im really dislikeing Ken and his attitude.. specially after last episode... i think he should have gone home instead of Sue.

also i think they need to take a break with the unconventional stuff.. 3 out of 5 episodes so far

I'm glad Sue went; at the end of the day, she ADMITTED she can't sew with the machines they provide. Means she wouldn't have been able to perform in the competition - and her own model had to sew her dress on to save face; that's a nail in the coffin.

At the same time, Ken should have gone home right along with her - all his divatude and bitchiness from the very start of the challenge sunk that team faster than the Titanic, and worse, he's kind of a hypocrite - last week he was defending Helen from being snapped on by Sandro, and this week here he is cutting Alexandria and Sue down every chance he got. Besides that, his dress looked just as bad as the other three - it's not like he was RIGHT.

If the "modern Southern woman" is so happening, then why do none of the designers know what the hell to throw onto them?

I'm supposed to take that seriously?

Anyway, I like this cast. Almost complete antithesis to last season--drama notwithstanding.

(Love that Loreal leather daddy makeup artist.)

I was glad to see Dom win. She deserved it. I was rooting for Justin. His unconventional challenge dress was incredible. This Thursday Project Runway All Stars begins with new host Alyssa Milano. I think it makes no sense to bring on previous winners. They have won already. It should only be non winners competing on the show.

Dom's win made sticking with the season worth it - she fought hard and won against some damn good designers. This is the very first season since I've been watching (skipping seasons 6, 7, and I think 8, and skipping any menswear challenge) that I've seen clothes that, if they make a male version, I could see wearing. Previously(and obviously), the only thing I could see myself in was Jeffreys' jet-setters look in season 3.

I have to say about the finale though, I am disappointed in Braden; the man has some GREAT, GREAT styling(the bomber jacket he made that was inspired by the BMX rider is one of my favorite pieces of the last few seasons; if they make a male version I will snap that shit right up!), but he basically gave grandma on the final runway. I actually didn't see Alexandria making it to the finale in my head, but she - as neurotic as she is - gave a good showing as well.

I can't watch All-Stars though - and knoing former winners are going to be on it makes me detest the idea even more... guess that means it's about to go the way of Models Of The Runway or whatever that shows' name was.
