Project Runway Season 14

Watching last night's episode for this week...

I am glad that Joseph got sent home... Almost all of his designs were matronly, and I am surprised he even managed to stay in this competition this long.

I have to agree with Kelly being the winner, the dress she made is absolutely perfect, and it looked like she manipulated the material to make it her own.

I also agree that Joseph deserved to be sent home. For this unconventional challenge there was nothing special about his design.

I also agree that Kelly deserved the win this week. Her design was incredible!

It was a bit sad when Jake decided to go home to put his dog to sleep. That was a very heartbreaking moment. Even though I didn't like his designs it was still very emotional.

Next week's challenge: The designers must create fashionable looks based on the musical, "Finding Neverland." One designer upstages the entire competition. Sounds like a lot of drama next week.

Any one else with any critiques or comments about this week's designs?

Going to have to agree on you about Jake and his dog. It was very emotional, and he made a right choice to go back. I would have done the same thing as well.

Who you think will make it as the finalist? (Usually they go with three but sometime they picked a fourth to stay as a finalist).

My guess is going to be Swapnil, Candice, Kelly, (those three for sure, most likely) and either Ashley or Edmond (if they decided to pick for a fourth one). I already saw the six collections (they didn't mention who created which collection but some of them are obvious).

My predictions for the finale are: Ashley, Edmond, Kelly and either Candice or Swapnil. I do not know if Swapnil will make it to the end, since last week he was lazy and spent a lot of time smoking than working on his design.

Did anyone see this week's episode?

Candice deserved the win this week. Lindsey deserved to go home this week. Lindsey's designs were very dull and uninspired.

Next week: The designers must create ready-to-wear looks to be reproduced and sold online.

Any comments or critiques about this week's designs?

Swapnil: the top was nice but this dress has been doooone so many times...also the way the grey fabric was cut when it transitions unto the pink was a very hard and row cut....the sculptureusqe top was nice

Ashley: oh no this was so bad...the fabric to begin with has also been dooooone but i like the idea but it was a mess the finished product..also i find her low self confidence pretty annoying by this time... you are in a compitition and especially when in a fashion one you to think you are the shit and you can do it or someone else is gonna take you down girl

Candice: it was nice but agian an idea that has been done so many times

Kelly: it was a bit boring and looked very old even with the short dress

Laurie: Oh my god what happend? everything was so bad with this garment but i did think if she had more time it could have maybe be good

Merline: also been done with theese sholders...and also i didten get if it was on purpose that they werent placed or even in the same size ?

Lindsay : if you do a floating top you need to make it out of fabric that stif and with alot of boing the straps on the back were so distracting and it was just boring

Edmond: i really dont like his stuff its so basic..and that purple thingy...no

I want Swapnil in my bed! :) Talented guy but he needs to step it up asap or he will get the boot!

I just want Tim Gunn to use his save.

I really loved Lindsey, just as much as I loved Blake.

Do you think there even will be a Tim Gunn Save this season?

Swapnil definitely needs to step it up.

I was not impressed with anything Lindsey designed. She deserved to get the boot.

As for the Tim Gunn save, I do not think so far that anyone that got the boot deserved to be saved.

I was very disappointed with this week's designs. I thought all the designers did not push the envelope and come up with something innovative or edgy.

Edmond won this week. His design was nothing special or different.
Laurie was sent home this week. She deserved it. Her design was a hot mess! and boring!

Anyone else watch the show this week? Any comments or critiques about the designs this week?

i had a really WTF moment with the judges this week

first of all Edmond was the winner ? WTF not only is that dress done and done but it look sooooo cheap looking and i think thats the problem with edmond his designs are not that good, been done and he allways come out with this excuses like when he said the dressform was too big but we basiclly saw him cutting the red dress on the model...he needs to go

Kelly: I really enjoyed her loook, 90s fashion is huge right now so i think her look was pretty on point..its wasent that special but still it was good

Ashley: boooring she does the same thing over and over and her confidence is non excisting.
Candice: that was a mess, the skirt could have had a something but over all it was a fail

Laurie: fine with her leaving...she didten cope with time very well and her designs suffered from that

Swapnil: it was soooooooo tacky wtf? I really liked the way he had made the straps on the back of the dress (with out that gold jewellery) and his jacket was nice too...if the dress and been in black or white it would have been so chic.

Merline: i didten mind this dress at all..the construction was awfull but i really liked the idea and design..

Swapnil's dress was okay and somewhat stylish but that Dress Barn peplum, lavender/ugly pattern dress Ashley made? Seriously? Two people should have gone home and Tim Gunn should have saved Swapnil.

I wrote weeks ago that if Ashley can't sew a frock without crying and feeling that she can't make it work, well, it's time for her to go home.

Watched the last night's episode... I was sad that Swapnil got the booted because I saw his collection and he might would have become the winner of season 14 if he did show the collection as an actual one, not a decoy.

I am disgusted with how Tim Gunn behaved though, and he defended the crew. It doesn't help that Swapnil's client kept on bitching about the design too.

But eh, some of us saw Tim's true colors back in his own show called "Under the Gunn" where he and the two mentors bullied on Natalie for few episodes too so most of my respect for him from that is already lost.

I disagree with you FootballJersey. I was not sad for Swapnil. He checked out long time ago. All he seemed concerned about was his smoking breaks.

Tim Gunn had a right to be angry and annoyed at Swapnil. Swanil had a chance to be on Project Runway and to design some incredible looks and he threw it all away. He was lazy and did not show his true potential. He did not listen to the client at all. He just designed what he wanted to design.

I am glad Kelly won another challenge. She was the only designer who really listened to her client and designed something special.

Ashley is lucky she did not get sent home too this week. I am tired of her crying and her low self esteem. She needs to pull it together like she did in the beginning challenges and design something great.

Candice needs to stop being a one trick pony. Everything she designs is leather. It is getting old! This weeks design looked very whorish.

Next week is the avant garde challenge. It will be interesting to see if the designers push themselves or fall apart.

^Tim Gunn was trying to do to Swapnil what RuPaul did to Pearl last season -- light a fire under his ass. When Swapnil said he didn't feel he had what it took to be in fashion, you could see the "bitch don't even go there look" from Zac. That's why I thought Tim would save Swapnil.

Ashley . . . the poor dear. Fashion isn't about hand holding. She couldn't make a fashion forward dress for a "large" woman. WTF?

Yes, Tim does have the right but as soon as Swapnil got booted, Tim didn't even come to at least shake Swapnil's hands as a form of good-bye or anything. I felt it was very unnecessary too.

I do agree that Kelly got the won because she did the challenge perfectly.

Ashely and/or Merline probably would go next though.

Huh? Were we watching the same show? Swapnil just walked by Tim and out the door as quickly as he could.

On tonight's Avant Garde challenge Kelly was the only designer to get it right. She deserved the win. All the other designers created nice outfits but they were not avant garde.
Mel B wants to wear Candice's dress at a red carpet event. What an honor for Candice.
Merline deserved to get the boot this week.

Candice finally did not use leather in her design this week. What a shock! LOL
We are down to the final 4 designers. I think the final 3 will be Edmond, Candice, and Kelly.

Next week: the designers travel to Los Angeles to create a red carpet look. Too bad Candice created that design last challenge. LOL

Anyone else with comments or critiques about this week's challenge and/or designs?

Edmund: Boooooring..nothing avantgarde bout it…looks like a nice black dress..nothing new or exciting bout it…

Kelly: This was soooo good… the placement of the 3d bricks, the wireing ..amazing

Merline: booooring, the fabric was too shiny and the placement of the 3d was not exciting….

Ashley: No no & no…she does this thing over and over..there is nothing new about what she does.. she makes ”trendy” clothes not fashion… its not innovative or exciting cause we already seen this at the store this summer….It was well made and look this the top and pants but the cape was awfull with those 3D thingy just smashed onto it..

Candice… it was well made and polish..but its the same thing over and over with the sweatheart neckline, the corsets….and like Edmonds its a nice dress but nothing avantgarde bout it….and the length noooo
