project runway - season 5

This season is so boring..

Stella needs to go.. her voice is annoying and her rocker outfits just don't measure up to the challenges.l
Blayne with his tanning desires is annoying.
Suede with his 3rd person references is stupid and annoying.

It's difficult to say who's going to be in the top this year, since no one stands out from the rest of the group of designers.
 
I'm addicted to the show but do have one pet peeve. Any designer who responds to a challenge with "That's not what I do" should be immediately dismissed.

This is the fifth season - have they never watched the show? If they don't want to be taken out of their comfort zones, why bother trying out for the show in the first place? It's not like the producers plucked them off the street at random.

Daniel is young, so I can forgive him a little for thinking every challenge is about cocktail dresses. Stella is 42 - did she really think every challenge would be about leather biker chick outfits?
 
I can't wait for them to get rid of that rocker chick. She annoys me.

Loved the look on Jerrell's face when Brooke announced the winner.

Correct winner, corrrect loser IMO.

Can't wait to see Ru Paul. TV guide mentioned he's be on next week, but I wanted to wait til they showed it on TV to mention it.

Drag queens! Wait until they start weighing in on the designs. The fur will fly.
 
Next week's episode should be fun.....I wonder if Chris will be a judge!

Kelli in my opinion should not have gone home....her design was not that good but I thought it was better than Blayne's for the challenge. Blayne's had a great casual look and was tame compared to his other designs but in my opinion they kept him for entertainment purposes only. Kelli was clearly the better designer over Blayne and Daniel.

I liked Daniel in the beginning but he's really starting to get on my nerves

No I definitely agree, Tim does not really like alot of the contestants and is more annoyed with them, and truthfully so. The contestants on this are so much more cocky than in previous seasons when it comes to Tim's suggestions or advice. As much as guys like Christian or Santino were cocky I felt like they still respected Tim's opinion. Tonight, for the first time, Tim actually seemed sad sending Kelli home. I think Kelli was one of the only contestants he seemed to like.

In the past i've agreed with the judges decisions, not this year. My top picks are either the runner up or not in the top at all. Tonight, I thought Jerrell's design should have won and Brooke seemed to really like it!

Also, agree with you about Wesley.....very cute and sexy and hated to see him go :(
 
^Tim does seem to dislike this group of people. It probably is because, after so many challenges, their dresses still suck.
 
you know what? tim isn't the only one who doesn't like this group of designers. seasons past i always found something interesting or provocative to keep my interest. with this group of designers i'm either annoyed or bored with them.

i liked jerrel and stella's outfit. it really looked classy. i liked it just a wee bit more than keith and kenley's. i could have gone with either one. i am happy for keith winning though.

as for the other two? gosh, either one was ugly enough but if i had to choose i would have preferred to see blaine because he just annoys the ever loving shit out of me.

oh! and as for next weeks competition? drag queen outfits?

finally! ;)
 
Both of the top 2 outfits were great. It seemed to me that Brooke liked Keith's design the best, and her opinion carried a lot of weight since she'll have to wear it.

Blayne should have been sent home. Kelli's design had flaws, but Blayne's outfit was completely inappropriate for the challenge. It wasn't even interesting!

The highlight for me was when Kenley broke out laughing on the runway when Daniel said his taste is impeccable.

I like Joe and LeeAnne because their work is consistently good. Neither of them have inflated egos nor do they whine about each challenge or the other designers.
 
I have to agree with others.....in terms of design, this group is just not giving us anything that wows us. Last season there were some awesome designers and in year's past there have been memorable ones (my friends and I still talk about Austin Scarlett's designs). This season.....meh, I did like Daniel's cup dress but don't like him so much anymore. I loved Emily and hated to see her go but her designs were just not all that great. Kenley....I actually like her whole 1940s style but she is turning out to be immature in my opinion....even Heidi seemed to agree.

Kelli was my favorite and I really didn't want to see her go but now I will be rooting for Keith, Terri, LeAnne, Suede, and Korto.....the other's I could care less for.

honestly i thought that was pretty shitty of her to laugh like she did.

i mean, yeah daniel's opinion of himself is rather inflated but for her to laugh out loud was really rude. i think a well done, bitchy smirk would have done nicely.

but yeah, i felt bad for him too.

lol, it made me laugh out loud. so wrong of her to just laugh like that, but sometimes, you just can't help it.
 
Just to edit my last post.

An entertainment site has identified a different guest judge next week than the one TV Guide said would be on. (In fact someone mentioned in this thread.)

So, we'll have to see on Wednesday.
 
I should have trusted that TV Guide would get it right about RuPaul.

It was great to see Chris. He and Heidi were so cute together.

However, this episode wasn't quite as exciting as I thought it would be. I was really expecting more drama.

I was glad to see Varla Jean. She has some very funny YouTube music videos. I've met her in P-town a few times and she's not only naturally very funny, but also a very nice person.

Keith and Daniel are both very one-note and both are way too fond of themselves. Who argues with judges? But I'd have sent Keith home before Daniel.

I don't care much for Joe, but he deserved to win.

Because Blayne's dress was over the top, colorful and total drag.


Anyway, I'm happy and sad that Daniel went home. He's talented but he can't see pass his own own style, which is the ultimate downfall in this competition.

Well, some of it may have been Daniel leaving.

But I think most of it was because the judges called him out, and he was within inches of being "Aufed."

The man has a huge sense of entitlement.
 
Today towleroad has a link to a video interview with Daniel and Wesley. They talk about their relationship.

They're now living together and have exchanged commitment rings.
