Project Runway Season 6

That winning dress was dreck. That little number that had the stitching was the only one that deserved a win. The girl who has won twice in a row had a beautiful color to her dress, gleaming but the dress itself was ick.

Poor Logan he is running on his looks. His design was just horrible, but then I think most of the designs are horrible this time round. Where is all the style and imagination we've seen before? Not in this group.

I agree - no excitement this season. Even the judges seem testy. Michael Kors always looks like someone just farted.

The dress with the stitching was more remarkable because that poor girl had almost nothing to work with. The only thing she could really do was make it a short dress instead of a long dress.

I'm going to be very surprised if any of the men last until Fashion Week.

People at a lot of boards are bitching away about Irina's ego. But she's shown the most consistant talent in both design and execution.

Giordana's dress was OK, but I think she's just too old to ever be fashion forward.

So glad Nina "the judge we love to hate" Garcia is back next week. Wish Michael Kors would have been with her. There's great chemistry among Nina, Michael and Heidi.

^^ Agreed. My top 3 choices up till the point where Ra'mon was eliminated was Irina, Ra'mon and Epperson. Then when Christopher showcased back to back GORGEOUS dresses and Ra'mon got his booty auf-ed by Heidi, it was Irina, Christopher and Epperson for me. And now Epperson's gone. And I'm no longer sure of Christopher's chances anymore. So I've got to come up with a whole list of top 3 again. Perhaps Giordana?

Irina I thought was lucky in how she achieved what she achieved with the dyeing work. Giordana deserved the win, but in no way was that dress amazing. But I can see now if anything, Giordana's signature style is the intricate and complicated construction she puts into her works. Remember that newspaper challenge? The structure she created was amazing, as was her work this week. So how come that week Heidi said it was 'safe' and this week they heaped praises on her?

I actually think Epperson deserved to stay in the competition more so than Logan. And the thing with this constantly switching panel of judges is that they don't get to see contestant's previous works. For example, if you had Epperson and Logan in the bottom two, the logical thing was to eliminate Logan, cos while Epperson's dress was bad this week, Logan up till this point has yet to create anything really impressive (with the exception of the beach-wear/couture challenge, which I loved loved, which by the way he did together with Christopher, so it wasn't entirely his creation). Plus his finishing was SLOPPY to say the least. There were loose threads hanging EVERYWHERE on the neckline! I guess the were thinking let's keep him to keep the ratings.

Up till this point I've been rooting for him, thinking that he might pull out something amazing out of that lush butt of his, but right now, I think a lot of other designers are more deserving than him.

Having said that, how cute is he this week? I think he's got a good sense of style in the way he dresses up, in the subtle headgears/headwears, in the thin ties, in the what-ever-that-torn-and-tattered-neck-scarf-thingamajiggy, in that ass-package-and-all-things-else accentuating silver pants.

If this supposed fashion designer profession dream fails he should have a good career as a model...

or a Male Escort... Ah-hem...

So glad Nina "the judge we love to hate" Garcia is back next week. Wish Michael Kors would have been with her. There's great chemistry among Nina, Michael and Heidi.

^^Agreed. We've totally underestimated the presence of Nina and Michael Kors on the show. I think Project Runway as we know it today was due to Nina, Michael and Tim Gunn's on screen moments. Not so much Heidi.

 Epperon's design was MUCH better than the crap created by Christopher and Logan.

I like Carol Hannah's cocktail dress. Glad Gordana's design won.

Irena's design looked like shit. Not sure why the judges were wetting thier panties about it.

I'm not really impressed so far this season - at least last year there was the whole Kinley drama and I just always loved Korto's designs (I still think she should have won).

I still love Christopher, he is just too cute and absolutely adorable. His designs do seem to be a hit or miss but he seems very passionate about the competition. I wish he'd come to Houston so I can take him out on a date :)

I honestly don't see the big deal about Irina - her designs are alright but her attitude is just awful. I also think that people are underestimating Carol Hannah and Althea - they seem to be two designers that could very well pull really good off the next few weeks and make it NYC Fashion week.

I was excited to see Carol Hannah win last night. It was a good design, and I like her a lot. The bit with her and Logan was cute.

I thought for sure Christopher would finally be auff'd last night. The judges raked his work over the coals, and he is consistently in the bottom 3.

Favorite line of the evening: "Irina is a really good designer. The problem is that she's a bitch."

Now that the field is getting narrowed down, it's more interesting to play "who will make it." Unless either does something truly heinous, Irina and Nikolas will likely make it to Bryant Park. The third spot will be either Carol Hannah or Althea.

^Have to agree with you, as much as I love Christopher I have to say that he's really been missing the ball lately - while I admire him for standing by what he believes he just hasn't been giving the judges what they want.

Nikolas is still cocky but I have to say i'm warming up to him a little. Irina is obviously the Kenley of this year's season - good designer but a bad attitude. Nicholas' quote was not only the quote of the night but probably the quote of the season!!!!

Definitely agree that Irina and Nikolas will probably make it to Bryant Park with Althea or Carol Hannah being the 3rd one.

I only really read this thread now and then is passing and tend not to comment that much because fashion isn't really my thing. I watch the show more as a talking point with friends who follow it. I don't consider myself to know much about 'good fashion' as I'm a totally casual T-shirt and jean kinda guy who can't look at most 'high fashion' without think 'that must be so damn uncomfortable' or 'that just looks god awful and unnecessary.'

Having put that disclaimer out and based on my embarrassingly high level of experience with reality TV I'm really confused as to why people are so sure of Nikolas's success. He's performed quite poorly through the whole of the competition: with 3 bottom 3s (1 bottom 2), 1 win, and 1 high he's actually got worse stats than Gordana, who's been circling the drain with Logan for a while. More importantly though when Nikolas does do well it's in a small very specific set of challenges that require costumes or costumey garments. This is a rarity and even within these two Tim pointed out that his dresses looked very similar. Althea, Carol Hannah, and Irina have the best records. The final challenge is often 'be inspired by' something (art, a flower, etc.) and I think Nicolas would be horrible at that or if they're given odd materials to work with or any real loose guidelines.

Chris has oscillated wildly and may be able to squeeze out someone who has been technically good yet under the radar.

I think it's possible for Nikolas to make it but he's been getting a dreadful edit where Chris has been getting the underdog edit (when it would be easy to tear him up what with his pitiful weeping and whining about not having training).

I think it's interesting this season that no contestants are really racking up multiple wins. Irina has the most at two. Now I'd say it's pretty much Althea's game to lose.

After tonight's episode I'm now convinced Christopher must be blowing Michael Kors behind the scenes; that's the only way he could possibly still be there after so many times at the bottom.

My aunt and I thought the same thing. "The fix is in, he must be blowing Tim Gunn!"

I think Heidi is having sex with Christopher. He should have been gone tonight.

Christopher has managed to go from sweet and endearign to whiny and annoying. Now I've always detested Nicholas so I don't care that he left but Chris really should be gone.

Yeah, I'm done with this season. Granted, I'm glad that Christopher is still there (call me shallow, I can take it. :D) Even though he seems to have lost his way, he's still adorable to me. However, when they eliminated Epperson, whose outfit was actually pretty decent, over Logan's *horrendous* pantsuit, that was just it. I did watch the Christina Aguilera episode afterwards (only to see my girl Christina) but I have no desire whatsoever to continue. I'm hoping that either Christopher, Carol Hannah, and Althea can go to Bryant Park. I know Christopher's designs lately haven't been good, but he started off excellent (and again, I know I'm shallow. He can come to Detroit so I can take him on a date anytime he wants, LOL. :D) I like Althea and Carol Hannah just fine, and I'd be okay with them getting to the finale. Logan and Gordana are okay, but I don't really care enough about them either way. And Irina is a completely horrible and utterly nasty bitch whom I hope gets her ass thrown out on the street by Tim and Nina collectively. I DO NOT want to see "Kenley: Part II."

Is it just me, or was the judging this season, by Heidi in particular, unnecessarily brutal? Nina wasn't too bad, but I thought Heidi and Michael at times were just flat-out mean. I did curse when they eliminated Epperson. That just pissed me off. Like I said, I have no desire to watch after that one.

Good luck to the remaining designers (except Irina.) I wish them well. :D

Has anyone else been watching Models Of The Runway?

I have to admit I was very disappointed when Celine was eliminated, since she was my favorite model and I was definitely expecting a Celine/Tanisha/Matar final 3. Now I think it'll be Tanisha/Matar/Kalyn. Kojii is another favorite of mine, but I do think that when Logan goes, she'll be gone with him.

Why Lisa continues to get picked is beyond me. I'll just say that I think she is...not attractive, and leave it at that.

My Mom and I were surprised when Christopher didn't go - like JB1986 I love Christopher to death and think he is absoutely adorable but thought with him being at the bottom three for 3 weeks in a row that he would have gone and Nicholas stayed. Oh and btw JB1986, I am the first Jubber to call dibbs for a date with Christopher so back off! :) - LOL, j/k. But seriously, IChristopher is a cutie.

I'm not so convinced that he (Christopher) is blowing anyone behind scenes, I am convinced however that the producers are having far more influence in the judging this year than in the past (with the exception of the last few episodes in season 5). Christopher is being kept for his personality (and maybe his designs in the beginning), Logan for his looks. I smelled it from a mile away when Epperson was auffed.

Yes, I agree that Heidi in particular is being much more harsh this season, maybe it's because her dream Los Angeles Project Runway isn't going nearly as well as she hoped. The talent this season is even more boring than last year. At least Korto, Kenley, and LeAnne made designs that kept your attention.

I am sure that Irina will be at NYC Fashion week, there just doesn't seem to be anyway around it. Althea or Carol Hannah will go and I think the producers will want one guy there this year so expect Christopher or Logan to go.

They give him a win and he goes on about how amazing it is to win without having any formal training as a designer (we heard you loud and clear during the intro, Chris).

Last night's episdoe got me thinking about this. Christopher loves to mention how he has NO training and he's self taught..and I'm wondering it's possible that this stage in the game, his lack of training is starting to catch up with him and maybe that has something to do with why he's strungling in comparison to a lot of the other designers...

I'm a little late to the game, but I'll still express my shock that Christopher was not sent home this week. When Heigi reminded him that he was in the bottom 3 "yet again," I thought the writing was on the wall.

I'm no fan of Irina, but she is a talented designer. She's not so talented, though, that she should be dissing the work of the other contestants.

So I have to scrap my prediction that Nikolas would make it to Bryant Park. Irina is probably a sure thing, and I think the remaining 2 will both be female. Based on the body of their work, Logan and Christopher would be out of their league.

It's unanimous; I, too, thought that Christopher would've gotten the boot. As much as I didn't like Nicholas, he deserved to stay over Christopher. Something about Irina... bothers me.

Speaking of Irina, I was certain Michael Kors was going to make some snide remark about that gaping hole in the back of her outfit.
