I'm watching and hoping it's better than season 5 also.

I watched last night, I thought it was off to a good start, that girl that went needed to go - I totally agreed with Michael, it looked like a Disco Soccer Ball. I also hope it's better than season 5, which was such a bore.

That Christopher guy that won is so cute! :)

Most importantly, how about that contest where you can win a chance to have lunch with Tim Gunn and Heidi? I am one step closer to my dream date with Tim :)

Loved the guy that won the challenge last night...I actually clapped cause I was rooting for him all episode...haha.

also I loved the "Models of The Runway" show that was on after...my dad and I have been saying they needed to do something with the models view for awhile now.

crap I can't believe I missed it. I forgot it was even on.

how was the models show? It kind of looks bad, simply from the commercials. It makes them all look.....well like stereotypical models (stupid and bitchy)

It's interesting tidimus, it's definitely worth a watch because it does give you a new perspective on Project Runway!

I love PR....I was sad though ......Its looking as if its heading down the "reality" show route. I know it is but you know what I mean.........I mean 2 breakdowns on the first episodes.......... Now it looks like they are choosing more of a backstory of the designers not so much talent

The First episode of season 6 was great. I'm glad that the girl was the first to go. That dress did look like a soccer ball.

I agree that Christopher who won is very cute. I liked his dress design too.
Models of the Runway was an interesting show. It shows the perspective of the models and shows what happens backstage somewhat at Project Runway.

So, I am definitely ready for Mitchell to go home, I was shocked he stayed. While the cocoon guy's design was bizarre he at least had some originally and it was at least sewn together right. Mithcell's design was poorly constructed and poorly executed, Heidi even said he can't sew!!!!

What is everyone elses's thoughts?

Agreed. I was very surprised that Mitchell didn't get the boot.

The thing that saved Mitchell was that the look was something they all liked and said either they or someone they knew would wear it. They overlooked his poor craftsmanship because his concept worked.

Poor Malvin's concept not only didn't work, it repulsed them.

For the first time in many seasons I've agreed about the winner and loser two weeks in a row.

I do think Mitchell is pretty much a goner, if his sewing doesn't vastly improve.

And it it just me, or has Heidi been losing her accent as time passes? It seemed as if a number of times she spoke with no accent at all.

I noticed it going in and out as well, Josher.

And agree with you--these first two episodes it was very easy to predict who was going home.

I have to say, I thought there were a lot of beautiful clothes on this latest episode, but this season seems like it might be low on the visionary designers scale. Could we be in for a season full of pretty things that don't necessarily excite the judges?

^^Yes, they mostly design bland, pretty clothing. There's very little that's fashion forward about any of them.

But then again, the challenges haven't been all that interesting so far. We need more "make something out of vegetables/supermarket shelves products/automobile parts" types of challenges.

^ I think it's just you, no way in hell Tim is going straight....LOL, he's my sugar Daddy! :)

Anyway, I thought the maternity thing was interesting but agree, so far we haven't seen any Christian Siriano or Austin Scarlett type designs yet. Most things that have come out though are pretty, minus a few things. I hope the challenges do get better and we can see really cool designs come out! I still love Chris though, he is just so sweet and adorable :)

I am also hoping that Christian Siriano will come back to be a judge, if anything to just hear his comments, LOL.

^ Oh wow, I totally read that wrong, LOL. I don't know about Heidi, I always think that Tim Gunn is friendly and sweet with the contestants regardless. Heidi last season was a little more brutal than she has been in previous seasons but I attribute that mainly to Kenley.

I hope that Heidi rips Mitchell apart this week!

It's funny, I ran into this article that says the same thing (among other hilarious things,LOL).

And yes, the following model show was kind of a "look behind the curtains".

Was there ever any doubt that Mitchell was going to be "aufed?"

I'd like to see the designs that got him on the show to begin with.

I'm not sure that some of them understand what avant-garde means.

Again many, many boring designs.

I thought some of the designs on there tonight were beautiful and edgy...and they were NOT the ones chosen for the top designs. Ra'mon's beach inspired piece was divine, but that avant garde piece looked a mess, and they liked it! My friend and I went, "Huh?"

It was about time Mitchell went home. He looked like he was tweaking in part of the episode. How did he ever get on there when he can't even sew?

Qristal (or however it's spelled) has a serious taste issue. Ugh. And as soon as lace girl walked out, I heard Christian in my head go, "HOT TRANNY MESS!" I miss him.

And does anyone think Heidi is developing more edge and attitude? She looked like she wanted to smack Mitchell. "Three strikes and you're out." LOVE IT.

Sigh. This show makes me so happy.

Hated, hated, hated the winning design. It looked like she was wearing bloomers. A mess!

Qristal's dress was boring, and maybe it looked worse in person, but I thought Logan's was much worse. The skirt was not flattering and the top was ugly and poorly made.

I wonder whether his "silver pants" strategy gave him the edge?

Epperson should have won.
